Love hate relationship

Beautiful but a pain. Hard to cut with a razor cutter. If you have an odd shaped wall or plug or window, you must cut it out exactly don’t plan on razor cutting it once it’s up on the wall. Once you are able to get it up though it’s beautiful.

Great looking tiles, easy to install!

It was my first time installing backsplash tiles, and I came across these Smart Tiles. Based on the reviews, videos, and information online, I thought I could install them ourselves. It really was quite easy to install.

Accent Wall Transformation

Updated an uneven / damaged wall surface with 24 of these tiles, and it looks a lot better. I do wish there was a discount for more tiles (I only got two per package and it got quite pricey...), but am still happy. With all the cuts, I managed to finish this project in 3 hours, by myself. Attaching the before/after for reference :)

great addition to our kitchen

We installed the tiles last weekend and they really transformed our kitchen. Visually and practically. We're impressed by the quality of the tiles, and also how easy it's been to install them

Big Bloks = Big Coverage

Looks good once there is more than one Blok on. I wish that I had a video demo for these large bloks (vs the interlocking ones.) On my initial wall I did not overlap and so it looks like stickers vs. the imitation grout line I was trying to visually create. Also, it was very difficult to remove without destroying my drywall. So once the first Blok was laid down it was 100% commitment! Really love the size as it gives very good coverage. Over all it looks decent and I'm hoping it helps with easy cleaning in the future. Two possible improvements: 1) placing a grid on the peel off paper on the back? 2) Selling smaller blocs so I can get the faux grout line for small fill in pieces on the ends or fillers. Overall, it works!

I like the look if it but its alot harder...

I like the look if it but its alot harder to place and get straight and harder to cut than the smaller square ones. Also its not seamless. The square ones I used in the past were cut so that the next square fit in with it like a puzzle so u didn't see where it was put together. I love it but would not buy again for this reason and the price is insane.

Beautiful product!

This is a very well made peel and stick that looks beautiful. The biggest downfall was that it was not as easy as "peel and stick". If your area that you are working around is perfectly plumb, it should be a breeze to install. I was working in an old kitchen and the countertops were not exactly level. Due to the nature of this pattern having to be lined up exactly to look correctly, I found myself having to trim the bottom edge of the tile. Because it is such a thick material, this was not very easy to do (a very sharp box cutter knife or something along that line would be very helpful). I'm hopeful that it will hold up over time. As a side note, you may have drywall damage when it is time to remove because it is extremely sticky.

The seams show badly.

The concept of these is great, the execution... Not so much. I'm sure other styles are easier to place without the seams being totally obvious, but this style isn't good for that. I ended up pulling most of it back off.

Beware !

I am a skilled tradesman and I work close. I am in the middle of a project with this tile and will probably come up short at the end due to shorter panels than stated in the ad. They measure 11/58 by 22/9/16 inches. They are ok to buy but if you are going to butt several end to end, be sure to buy enough to allow for these dimensions. I may need to reorder another package to make up for the shorter panels.

Not impressed

For the price of these tiles and the little amount they cover it’s not worth it. I LOVE the look of them. I had to have them. Well big mistake I have had them up for 2 days and they are already peeling off.

Not bad, but not good either

Not at all what I was expecting. They are pretty big and look nice however the size makes it more difficult to work with. It’s fairly thin and wasn’t the look (cheap) I wanted for the backsplash in the kitchen. I’m may use them in my laundry room cabinet.

Garage make over!

I installed these tiles in my garage two months ago and I must say that it now looks great! They protect my drywall from water damage when washing my car, dirt and from everyday traffic (ie. car doors). It was a 3 hour job to install 140 tiles and didn't need anything other than a level, pencil and box cutter. My neighbours have seen my garage in which they couldn't believe their eyes, they thought I had installed real marble. They have since started their own Smart Tiles projects in their own garages now!!

Poor design and quality they fell down and stuck all over each other and customer service at Smart Tile did nothing for me. I lost all my money because my entire project was ruined and they stopped making this design; i lost about $300. I would suggest you do real tile and save yourself the money, time and headaches. These are awful in every way.

Really easy to do and look great!

I put my entire backsplash up in less than 4 hours myself. Just to give you a reference point, sometimes I'm able to successfully change a light bulb myself but no guarantees on that. So I truly mean that if I can do this, anybody can. You just have to think it out before you start sticking, start at the right end and make sure you have enough tiles for cutting up and using at the ends to fill in the gaps. Everybody has complimented the way they look, they add a richness to my decor that I love.

Amazing and Beautiful - would use again and recommend.

We bought Smart Tiles for our kitchen and installed the product. We love the end result, durable, able to be cleaned, easy enough to install. I also used Smart Tiles, though a different style, in my parent's kitchen. I tried Peel and Impress brand in a bathroom and was not pleased as it peeled right off the walls already. I learned that Smart Tiles is the best and will never use anything else!

Excellent finishing touch

We bought these to complete the edges of the smart tiles that we installed. It finishes off the backsplash perfectly. Looks good and gives the backsplash a high end finished look. We also choose this product over another product which was similar but made in China. The fact that these are manufactured in Canada makes them that much better in my books.
