Floor Lamp

Great looking floor lamp. I have been looking quite some time for one. I loved the one at PB but did not want to spend that much money. Was hesitant to purchase this one, but then thought, why not try it. Glad I did. (reading the other reviews helped) Very sturdy. I did put in an amber light bulb to help the glare.

Nice lamp with some good character. The base of the lamp is a bit bulky and difficult to hide. Be sure to fully tighten the lamp post or it will appear crooked. A softer white or yellow white bulb works best with this lamp.

Poor Construction

The globe is way too heavy for the flimsy rod it has to screw into and ends up breaking (stripping) and now just hangs by the cord (which can't be good). And that's after a few days. We tried using JB Weld on it but it's really heavy. Just too poorly made for the lovely big heavy globe that comes with it. If only the pole and fittings were made as well. It even bends the pole.

This lamp is beautiful. Very substantial. I bought an Edison bulb for it which makes it a focal point. Notice that the on/off switch is floor activated so it needs to be accessible. Would have preferred a switch on the upper portion of the lamp. Highly recommend.

I LOVE this lamp! Been wanting this for a while and finally splurged for my birthday. It is SO elegant, and it was easy to assemble. It is sturdy and adds much needed light for reading in my living room. Eager to get an Edison bulb for it, as it will look that much more awesome!

This lamp is beautiful and sturdy. It’s also quite heavy. It took me about 10-15 minutes to put together all by myself, but I would have preferred another person because the packaging was awkward. Everything arrived without damage and it’s exactly what I need for my dark bedroom corner!

I have been eyeing this floor lamp for quite some time. It was a very unique design and a nice complement to my modern farmhouse style. It arrived on a timely basis, as do most of my Overstock purchases. The lamp base was heavy which I appreciated. Since there were not instructions, I am glad I read the other reviews on assembly tips because it made it easier and quicker for us. It did take two people to get it done. It gives off a nice light, which is the reason I was interested in it because my office needed extra lighting near my desk. This works quite well for the space. So, I would recommend it to the others.

Beautiful floor lamp

Very solid lamp. It has a heavy weight and nice metal finish. The glass shade is big and beautiful. There is a screw in the bottom your need to tighten to straighten the pole. I thought it was leaning at first, but I had just missed this step in the instructions.

Floor Lamp Doesn't Look Straight

After trying to read vague information this floor lamp sits crooked. Very hard to put together. Took over 2 hours and now it doesn't look right. I wouldn't recommend this floor lamp and am very disappointed as l bought the matching table lamp to go with it. Not sure what l am going to do? Return it or try to get it straight.

Easy to Assemble - Must Unscrew Nut Under Base

This is a beautiful lamp; we purchased two of them. I too was stumped when assembling the lamp to the base. Though a bit awkward, it all went together until the last step. The directions didn't make it clear that you to unscrew the nut and washers UNDER THE BASE so that you can attach the last piece to the bottom of the pole. Then, you simply attach the base ( my husband supported the unit in a horizontal position) and screw the washers and nut onto the protruding screws on the bottom until it is tight - you're done! The instructions are not clear as to the importance of this last step. There is an included wrench to assist you in the removal.

Was looking for a lamp to add light in a darker corner of our living room without being a real focal piece but also add a little gold accent to the space too. This lamp did all of the above! It does appear to be a more expensive lamp and is very study. The glass shade gives it a distinct look without being overpowering. The bronze finish is a more orange- gold color. It went together easily and is exactly what I was looking for.

Classy lamp, awkward assembly

The lamp looks classy and feels sturdy. But I wish the height could be adjusted. Assembly was not easy for one person with arthritic hands. It really requires two people in order to stabilize the large glass globe as the parts of the shaft are screwed together, and finally attached at the bottom of the heavy base. Final look is lovely.

It's a mood! This lamp is a beauty once you add a smart Edison bulb. Finding the right brightness and color lit, makes it a statement piece. I'm waiting for my couches to order another. My only concern is that the glass shade that makes it so beautiful is also was makes it lean. For those who said it's hard to put together, that's not true. I suggest you start at the shade and work down making the base last. You can easily pull the cord through and get a solid gorgeous lamp.
