The base isn't heavy enough to keep the table upright if a drink or other object with decent weight is placed on the end of the table away from the leg. The table is good for remote controls, cell phones or one well placed drink. I also brushed against the table yesterday and it toppled over. Disappointing design.

Very poor design. Wobbles and were never able to use it. Only had it less than 2 weeks and was not able to return it for full refund. I will never shop at all modern ever again. I have never had any company not refund me fully for a damaged item. This is truly outrageous and basically I was ripped off.

The bottom of my marble table arrived very chipped and crumbling. I don’t know if this is an indicator of the quality of construction, or a shipping issue, but it does not look refined or sleek in person. #crumbles

Beautiful sculptural piece, arrived in perfect condition. HOWEVER, IT IS POORLY WEIGHTED....despite the solid marble base, as the base is too small to handle the extended eliptically-shaped top. This makes the table unstable anytime an item would be placed on top, such as setting down a beverage, iphone, snall snack dish. The entire surface area of the top extending out beyond the stem makes this piece UNSTABLE, such that anytime anything may be set atop creates a tipping-hazard. Were II alone to be the sole user, I would do so with extreme care. HOWEVER, I cannot impart such a highly unusual and unrealistic burden and responsibility upon a guest. Sadly, I am returning this piece.

Do not order this item if you intend to actually put anything on it. It is unstable and tippy. I put a cup of coffee on the end table and it immediately tipped over. It also scratched the surface with just one touch. I tried to see if it would be stable on a hardwood floor and, no luck. While it is a beautiful piece, it is completely unusable.

This table has a cool look, but is very unsturdy on both carpet and wood surfaces. Would not recommend!
