Not worth the purchase

Broken. When we took it out of the box pieces were broken. Such a disappointment.

Holy gold paint!

The carving is beautiful, and came well packaged, no damage. The description says "metallic gold" and you better believe it! It is not classy, understated gold accents, it is "there was a sale on gold paint, so let's slap it on generously". My plan was to paint over it anyway so it doesn't bother me, but the pictures they provide suggest more subdued color than what it is.

It's very nice, but the panel placed on the bottom had all of the edges broken off in 2/3 pieces.I bought Gorilla glue and patched it together, but maybe in the future for expensive items, they need to be more protected when delivering.?

This really is a beautiful piece, but I returned it because I thought it would be a more white-washed. It's all gold, which made it a little over bearing for the space I wanted to hang it.

Listen to me: This is *gold*! Like a bling-bling in your face, gaudy glittery gold finish. Don't get cocky like I did and think it's more of a creamy tan with maybe some distressed gold flecks. THIS IS GLITTER GOLD! And by "wood" they mean that this material maybe originally came from trees once upon a time, and has been processed into paper mulch that has been even further reprocessed into hard cardboard "wood-like" material that was then carved, resembling hardwood. It's heavy and substantial, so don't think it's paper, but it isn't real wood, either. Good grief it is HIDEOUS. The photos lie, the description is inaccurate, they don't warn you for what it truly is. Someone else provided a review that this was gold, yes, and I thank them for that attempt to warn me, but even that failed to convey just how repulsive this item is. That all being said, the size is great, exactly what I wanted. I had some limewash glaze on hand and that toned things down to what I actually going for. Last photo shows that this can be worked with, after the glaze applied. So if you're willing to put in 20 minutes of time to fix or customize the finish, this is for you. If you want something that would be hung in some outdated outdated, over the top not in a good way gaudy glam hotel, this is for you. If you decorate your home in gold glitter, this is for you. If you like the look of a cheap product, this is for you. If you are using this in a dark lounge to add some bling on a far wall, this is for you. If you have zero sophisticated style whatsoever, this is definitely the gold glitter spray-painted product for you. Don't hesitate, buy now. Otherwise, run, save yourselves. No one else needs to get hurt. Haven't we all been abused enough by this product? We took one for the team so you don't have to. You now really know what you're getting into. Hope this helps. Two stars because 1) the size is great, 2) the price is ridiculously less than anything else I've seen comparable in style and size. But you get what you pay for has never been more true.

It's an absolutely beautiful panel set. Though being a bit OCD; I can tell that this is a mix match set, but I'm sure things get mixed up when you mass produce such large pieces of decor. It doesn't look bad though. I don't feel that it is fully made of all pine wood; maybe a mix or maybe it was pasted down onto a thick paperback pattern due to what imperfections I found.... and it would explain some of the odd bits of glue in between the carvings. I'm good with the imperfections though. I've learned to embrace imperfections as something unique and lovely. If you're wondering on the color, it is a shimmering gold (like gold matte foil). I am most definitely going to have to change my bedding to match this lovely panel set. ;0) I gave it a four stars due to the shipping and packaging. It was said to arrive on the 27th of April and just arrived this afternoon, 2nd of May. There was no update on the arrival date when I went to track it. Even though I was fortunate that none of the pieces were damaged especially after I saw how the carrier put it on my porch, but the packaging is not that protective. I can see how some have ended up with chipped, cracked, and broken pieces. Maybe the manufacturer or distribution center that it is being shipped by needs a heads up on this especially for the amount of money customers are investing into this product. Anyway, it is a lovely addition to my home decor. I wish anyone who buys it the best of luck receiving it well in tact such as I did!

Color is not correct

The color is very misleading. This is no where near "ivory" it is a VERY gold and sparkly and gives a totally different look than pictured. Debating if I should try to paint it to save myself the hassle of repacking it to return. Super disappointed in this.

This piece is a very shiny yellow like gold. One of the corners is broken. I do however love the design & size. I am going to paint over the gold. It's really too much!

Perfect for a large wall! I have it in our living room (have 30' ceilings) and when people walk in it's the first thing they see. Great conversation piece as well. Definitely sets the room off with elegance and beauty! I'm absolutely in love. Easy to put up, just make sure you have a level (we have a laser level so that helped a to !)
