Outstanding Product!

The only issue I have with American Fire Glass and their products is why I failed to get it sooner. My expectations were exceeded in every respect and the entire family absolutely loves watching the fire. We are already considering a fire pit outside just so we can sit out and watch our fire glass. Thank you so much for an amazing experience!

The best products and the best service!

I found American Fireglass by a google search and figured I would give them a try. I am so glad I gave them the opportunity because they were with me from the start until the end of my project. They called me to go over every little detail and to make sure I was getting the right materials. Customer service was great and I can not thank them enough! Not to mention their products are excellent and very good quality! I will be ordering from them again in the future.

The glass looks great, exactly as pictured. I've used our fire pit a dozen times since placing them, and I've had no problems with any discoloring, or melting. The colors are beautiful.

Not a set of 6!!

listing states this is for a set of 6. Well, I got 1 bag! When I contacted VM Express they said they were sorry for the confusion that the listing was for only 1 bag. No, I'm not confused. The listing clearly states set of 6 ! 1 bag is not enough for my needs thats why I ordered this *set*. They offered to give us $5 off of the 1 bag for the confusion. Again, one bag is not enough that is why I purchased this set. Now awaiting to hear there reply. I would be happy if they sent me 2 more bags (instead of the 5 that they owe me) So I would have 3 and they can keep the other 3. So now we wait a reply. Hopefully they update the listing removing the set of 6 because it clearly isn't.

COLOR LOOKS MORE LIKE DARK GRAY, NOT BLACK - BUTTT

I bought 10 bags of this for a total of $192.90. I quickly threw out the metal grill and wood logs. No more soot to clean and this is so much more modern and beautiful.

The gas fire pit I bought came with lava stones and I wanted to dress it up a bit. After looking around, I chose the Copper Reflective Fire Glass at Home Depot. They had the color, quantity and price I was looking for. Installation is a snap, just pour it out and spread around by hand. Make sure to wear gloves, as this is broken glass. I have used the fire pit at least a dozen times since purchasing the fire glass and the effect of the reflective glass and fire is mesmerizing.

The description of the product

The description of the product by American Fireglass is somewhat misleading. There is a VERY large variation in the sizes of the pieces in the ten pound bag of the 1/2" fire glass. It appears that the pieces result from the fracturing of a "sheet" tempered glass that is 1/2" thick. This results in pieces that are 1/2" in only one dimension. There are pieces as big as 1" x 1" x 1/2" and as small as "slivers" that in only one dimension are 1/2" and as small as 1/8" to 1/4" in the other dimensions. I had wanted fire glass pieces large enough to not fall through or get stuck in the grate slits of my indoor gas fireplace fire pan which was the problem with the fire glass that I was replacing with the 1/2" American Fireglass product. Without either somehow "sifting" the pieces of fire glass in the bag of the American Fireglass to get rid of the too small pieces or somehow modifying the grate openings in the fire pan, the very small pieces of fire glass will fall through or getting stuck in the fire pan grate slits.
