small and cute

It is perfect for a half table. It is not cheap looking and even my husband likes it. It is not a reading lamp if that is what you are looking for. It's ambient lighting.

Cheap and shiny

The finish is too orange, like a brass with too much tangerine. It has a thick shiny coating that looks like it was put on quickly with one thick coat rather than thin layers. The birds themselves are nice, a bit clumsy, but the branches are much lumpier and much less realistic than the birds. The base is painted in the same bright orangy brass color but with some black paint rubbed on top, most likely to give it an aged look but fails in that respect. The shade is also poor quality covered in thin fabric. When the light bulb is on it's sheer and if you have the wrong side facing you can see the seams due to the farely sheer fabric overlapping. Although it looks like the picture, it's disappointing in real life.

This is an absolutely adorable accent lamp! The item was packaged to prevent damage during shipping thus arriving in perfect condition. A little more bronze than gold, however; it doesn't detract from it's whimsical beauty.

bought this for a client's kitchen and it is the perfect touch I was looking for.

Love the bird lamp! We needed a short lamp to go under our Frame TV and not above the bottom of the screen. Lamp shade wasn't lined and not as high quality as the lamp.

Lovely lamp

I purchased the Gold birds with the black lampshade and there was no collar in the box (that had been opened). I did not love the black shade because it looked gray when the light was on. The gold bade looked nice. I had to return it so I tried the brown base with the cream shade and it was very nice and worked for the space I needed. Happy ending and a surprising easy return. My second choice light was nearly three hundred dollars which made this purchase all the sweeter.
