Worth the wait?

The candle smells divine when smelling directly from the jar. However the hot throw did not start to develop until half way through the candle. At this point the throw is moderate to strong. Cold throw still non existent. Is it worth the wait to burn through half of the candle before experiencing the hot throw? I’m not quite sure…

No smell

Unfortunately, this candle doesn’t smell like anything even up close… even after burning for 2 hours continuously…and even after putting it in a smaller space hoping it would fill out a bit. alas, no! Very sad! I’ve liked other products from PF candle, but this one is very weak.

Did not have a big smell or throw

I purchased this candle due to the description of it having a large throw - I was hoping that it would make my living room smell nice and hopefully linger a bit. However, I barely smell it when it is burning (same with people who have visited, I asked and they didn't smell it) and it certainly doesn't leave a smell behind after burning. The room it is in is not that large, either. It is actually one of the weakest candles I've ever tried, so I am disappointed I spent more $ on it. I do really like the incense from this company, however.

My Favorite Candle and Incense

I've tried many of the scents from PF Candle Co. and keep returning to Golden Coast. It is hard to describe the fragrance except to say that it is perfect -- coastal without being oceanic or sea salty, outdoorsy without being "fresh mountain air", luxurious without being heavy or perfume-y, botanical without being too floral OR too herbal. It somehow smells natural and fancy at the same time. I recommend both of the candle formulations and the incense is amazing--each stick burns for a full hour with no trace of that heavy perfume-y undertone. I just love it. Thanks

No scent from the candle

Golden Coast is one of my favorite scents, but I often struggle with smelling any of the scent while burning even in my studio apartment. I don't like terribly strong candles, but I do like a scented candle to fill my apartment so when you walk in it's like, "mmm it smells nice in here." When I saw this larger "concentrated" candle I was thrilled and figured my problem would be solved. I just received it today and decided to take a few hours and burn it tonight. Either I got a lemon or something is very off about the marketing of these larger candles -- there is no scent coming from it, and even if I put my nose practically right in it I can only get a very faint aroma.

Not too potent beautiful aroma

I love the aroma of this candle. Even though it is the "more concentrated" candle, it is still has a small to medium throw. I like to smell my candles throughout my small apartment, however for this candle, I really can only smell it in my small bedroom with the door closed. This is the reason for the 4 stars. The original version I can't smell at all so this is an improvement. All P.F. Candles are beautiful scents and excellent quality and this one is no different. I make it stronger by burning 2 concentrated Golden Coasts together which gives me the throw I desire. Hope this helps!

Golden Coast Large Concentrated Candle

I LOVE this scent so much. It's one of my favorites of all time and I'm so excited to have it in a larger more concentrated version. It's the perfect candle to transition from day to night.

When you want to be noticed

P.F. Candles are a staple in our home (and great gifts, I might add). You can’t go wrong. But this new concentrated version of Golden Coast is a dream. This is the candle you light when the world feels cold and dark and you need to be pulled into a warm beach sunset. You need that extra push of scent to snap you out of the winter blues. Never fake smells that make our allergies angry or eyes water. This is a candle that reminds you Summer is around the corner.

Large Concentrated Candle - Golden Coast

Overall a great addition to the PF Candle family. Golden Coast is one of my favorite scents - clean, refreshing, and perfect for springtime. These new concentrated candles capture that scent perfectly, but add in a little extra “scent throw” - basically the candle burns a little stronger, and you can smell it from further away. This is perfect for a larger space when you want the scent to reach the whole room. I currently have this burning in my living room, and it’s a great way to help transition from winter blues to uplifting spring vibes.

Maximum Scent Throw...a great catch!

How do you make a P.F. candle better? As a long-time supporter, I’d be hard pressed to give a constructive answer to this question. It feels silly, but truthfully, I’ve never had a bad experience with this brand. No order issues or a product I didn’t trust.

Bigger IS better

So we all know PF Candle makes some of the best scents out there-- Golden Coast is a classic, and can bring a sense of calm and serenity to any space. But what good does that do if you can't disperse the smell? Well this candle does it all. It smells amazing (of course), and it has amazing throw. When you light it, your space will quickly fill with the amazing scents we love PF Candle for. These candles work really well in bigger rooms, and the chunky jar makes for a beautiful statement piece. If you love PF Candle smells, and want to spread them across your whole house, check this candle out.

gorgeous candle

I love the way this candle fills my whole living room with the gorgeous golden coast scent and seems to have a long burn time. It's salty, sweet, floral, and woody all at once. it's one of my wife and i's favorite scents from PF candle co and this concentrated version throws the scent even farther than the usual version. would definitely buy again!

The hype (reformulation) is real!

PF wasn’t exaggerating when they said they reformulated their candle. They took a product that was already amazing and took it to another level. Golden Coast always had a subtle throw which I loved but always wished for a little bit more, and the reformulated version does just that. It isn’t overwhelming or too strong. The fragrance is enhanced to the right level to deliver a throw that reaches farther throughout my home…. But isn’t too much when you’re in closer proximity. I enjoy burning this candle daily. I can’t wait to try my other fav scents (aka all of them) reformulated. Thank you PF for always providing the best candles around.

Warmth and coziness abound

I've always loved the Golden Coast scent but this new reformulated version takes the cake. With a large open living area, this permeated throughout the entire downstairs so I didn't need to have multiple burning to get a cohesive vibe in the house. It also feels richer in this new formulation that goes perfectly with the stormy weather and a good book.

Even better than before!!!

Awesome - I loved this scent before and had purchased it a few times but kept moving it to smaller spaces in our home. After I burned this updated version, it was so fragrant even the day after. It was not too overpowering, just delightful and fresh and my whole family is happy to have it in our living room space again!

Great scent, lackluster performance

Although I love the scent of Golden Coast, the throw (hot & cold) is very soft. I have two 7.2oz candles burning at the same time and the scent is barely noticeable after an hour in an average-sized bedroom. This one is better suited for a small space like a bathroom.

Very faint, almost no scent when lit

I've been a fan of these candles for several years. But over the past couple of years, I've noticed very little to no discernable scent when they are lit. I thought it might be just the medium-sized candles since they're a bit on the small size. But my husband gifted me this candle in the 12 oz large size. Even in our small bedroom or bathroom, you can only smell the fragrance if you are standing right next to the candle. These scents are lovely, but they aren't worth the price. I'll stick with the incense instead.

Disappointing

I had the amber and moss candle and absolutely loved it, so I bought another one and also picked up the Golden Coast + Teakwood candles. Golden Coast smells lovely in the glass, but there is almost zero scent throw when it's burning! I can smell the amber and moss right away and the scent fills the area quite quickly once it's lit - but even when Golden Coast has been burning for a couple hours, I can't smell it even if I walk away for a while and come back in the room. Just disappointed because I was looking forward to trying new scents from PF, but I might just need to stick to amber and moss from now on.

Surprisingly bright and invigorating

Wasn’t sure what to expect with Golden Coast, but having loved Amber & Moss I figured I’d give it a shot. My expectations were pleasantly surpassed with the bright and invigorating scent that seems to confer a little ‘open view’ pick-me-up when I light it for work. My girlfriend, who is not big on candles, also really loves it, which tells me there’s something to it! Ultimately, I will buy this candle again. Highly enjoyed.
