Never again will I waste my money

If I could give this product zero stars I would do so. I wanted Flex Seal but my shopper substituted this for me and since I love Gorilla glue I decided to give it a try. I will stick with just their glue this stuff was already crusted and hard when opening the airtight can, I have mixed redi-mix with a 3 inch slump that was easier to work than this stuff. I will never use this product ever again, I am highly disappointed in you Gorilla as I always loved your other products. You have truly disappointed me this time. I will just stick with the other brand next time.

The Gorilla Patch & Seal, like other brands of rubber paste, need better packaging. When opened, the top half of the paste was rock hard. Unusable. I had the same problem with Flex Paste. I would have returned the product, but I had an immediate need to seal a leak and was able to get a same amount from the bottom of the can. I won't be buying any brand rubber paste in the future, although once applied, it does work. Too bad. Wish the manufactures could figure out how to package the product better.

Thank you, Influenster and Gorilla, for sending me the AWESOME waterproof patch and seal tape. This stuff WORKS, like REALLY WORKS. First, i love that it is an 8 foot roll. This is the perfect amount of tape for any of my waterproofing needs. This time, i used it to patch a small crack on a plastic tub that i keep my outdoor holiday decorations in. The tape worked perfectly. Everything was all sealed up and waterproof. It was quite easy to roll out what i needed, cut from the roll, and attach to the tub. It truly stuck and stuck for good. Finally a tape that works and isn't unsightly! The sunroof on my car leaks, and after a costly trip to the mechanic didn't fix it, i decided to just tape it off! The previous tape worked ok, but looked awful. The Gorilla Tape is clear, so it completely seals out the water, but doesn't look bad! It was super easy to install, and has already been through a torrential downpour twice and the inside is perfectly dry! I'm so relieved to have found a product that works so well. Dealing with water and water damage can be so frustrating, and I'm so glad Gorilla has made a product that can help sooo well! It even works underwater and on house roofs! Impressive!

[Rewarded Review] Thick and waterproof

Gorilla glue is a reliabl, dependable brand and so I was very excited to receive this tape in exchange for my honest review. My first thought was The tape is thick and feels very durable and it is also waterproof. It is also able to be used both indoor and outdoor. I plan to bring it camping in case we get any tears on our floating devices such as inter tube or kayak. It comes with 8ft which doesn’t sound like very much to me but I assume you only use a few inches at a time. I will update my review once I’ve been able to put this tape to good use.

I cannot get over this stuff and do not know why I haven’t had this on hand before! If applied without ripples and air bubbles this tape makes a tight lock keeping air, water and wind out, staying sealed nicely. It adheres to practically almost anything! It’s great for a temporary or permanent fix. This is a heavy duty tape making duct tape look like masking tape. It is a bit touchy to peel off because it is so tacky, so be careful with that. And, make sure the final placement is when you want it because this tape is not going anywhere!

Tough tape made well! I received this product for free from Influenster and Gorilla in exchange for my honest review. This tape is clear so it's not noticeable. It sticks very well. You can tell by the feel it is made with good quality. It's waterproof and can be used outdoors. It's long lasting. Perfect for patching and sealing jobs I've done! The packaging is very appealing and noticeable. It's Perfect for indoors and outdoors.

I was shocked when the tape arrived, as I did not expect what I saw! At 4” wide and clear, the amount of places and uses for this tough tape is endless AND it ain’t ugly like duct tape. Apparently you can seal hole/crack in a pool, as it’s waterproof, which is insane! I don’t yet have a use for it, as I’m not going to waste it by using it as packing tape. It deserves and should be used for heavy duty jobs, like taping a human to the ceiling or sealing up a serious leak. Gorilla Glue is a brand synonymous with toughness, resiliency, durability, and adhesion. I love having it on hand all 8’ of it!!

[Rewarded Review] Works pretty good

I tried laying this around my shower stall that has the rubber lining removed and is no longer being sealed off from the water when the shower is in use. Reading the instructions, which were clear and straightforward, I prepared the area and cut off the necessary amount. Works well. You just need to allow a few hours for the adhesive to settle in before you can resume normal use. One thing to know is when using, make sure you know exactly how much you need and the exact placement because once you place it down it’s down. I recommend

I have now purchased three of these. Two of the white and one of the black. I was able to apply the very first (white) can I got but it seemed a little stiffer than what I was used to but was still able to spread it so let it go. Figured I had never used the Gorilla brand before so thought that it just might be their formula. I needed more for another project so git another can of the same (white) and was completely disappointed because ut was old, hard as a rock and had a dry film over it that disintegrated when it was touched. Thankfully Walmart gave me a refund. I purchased the third can (black) because I still had that project to finish. When I opened it itwas beautiful. The consistency that I am used to. It spread beautifully. Fantastic product! I guess what they say is true....third times the charm!

[Rewarded Review] What Can’t it do?

I received this Gorilla Waterproof Patch and seal Tape clear 8ft. I had a small area lifting on my convertible top. I applied the Gorilla Tape as instructed. Because it’s clear, you really don’t notice it. So far, I’ve had excellent results when I have tried several different ways to fix this problem. I can’t wait until summer and one of my floaters get a leak. I know without a doubt, my Gortilla Waterproof Pqtch & Seal Tape will fix the issue. I won’t worry about sinking to the bottom of the pool knowing my float is patched together with this tape. Thank you Influenster for giving me the opportunity to try and review this product.

[Rewarded Review] Wonderful to have for the camper!

We have been long time campers. With that bring said, sometimes things happen and you have to be able to fix with what you have available. Gorilla tape is an absolute must for quick repairs to things like a canvas or an awning. You never know until it’s to late that you have a leak in your canvas and your on a trip. We grabbed this quick and no more leaking on our beds from the rain. Held great during the storm. So much better then actual canvas repair tape. We will always have it in the camper now!

A disappointing product

A worthless product that does not perform to it's advertised standards. The consistency is more like a clay than a paste. It is difficult to apply, It remains stuck to the application tool and will not adhere to the work surface easily despite following all instructions. The videos and pictures related to the application of this product are misleading and gives the impression that the paste rolls off the putty knife smoothly and onto the surface it is being applied to in a controlled fashion. The fact is that the product remains stuck to the tool and just rolls under the putty knife no matter how much force is used. Although the label states that the paste can be used on a wet surface, this is simple a lie. Even a slightly damp surface makes it even more difficult to apply. I even attempted to apply by hand using rubber gloves thinking that I could knead and force the paste into the surface using my fingers, but that didn't work either. Stay away from this product.

[Rewarded Review] Fantastic waterproof patching

I used this gorilla waterproof, patch and seal product to seal up some holes in my son's waterslide. I don't know how long the tape will hold, especially with different temperatures, but for now we are pleased. Tape is extremely sticky.. try to avoid your fingers and use older scissors you don't mind getting the tackiness on. We had to use a product to get the tackiness off our shears. I’ve always been a fan of the gorilla family products, and this is another one that I am adding to my toolbox. it was also very easy to tap the cover back on to seal it up again, so I can use it for future uses.

This material is excellent for waterproofing and is easy to paint after application. I am using it to waterproof vulnerable areas on my deck that is being rebuilt.

Had some 5 gallon fishing buckets with some cracks that we were going to pitch in the garbage. But decided to give the Gorilla waterproof patch and seal tape a try. Worse case scenario is were out a strip or two and have to buy new buckets. I gotta say, it works! We used the tape on the outside of the buckets and after the sat, the next day used them to hold our bass with some pond water and we never sprung a leak. Now we don't have to purchase new. I don't know how long the tape will hold, especially with different temperatures, but for now we are pleased. Tape is extremely sticky.. try to avoid your fingers and use older scissors you don't mind getting the tackiness on. We had to use a product to get the tackiness off our shears. Roll is small in feet. Would prefer longer.

You see the commercials about the Flex Seal and Gorilla glue is the same stuff. To be honest with you I think it might be too thick to spread and I know why you can use it on a wet or dry surface. Your working surface has to be reallly tight because it takes a lot of pressure to smear the paste. I would use it for extreme reasons. For the clean-up you use mineral spirits.

[Rewarded Review] Excellent performance, but not attractive results

Very thick spreadable paste. Our cast iron kitchen sink is rusting at one of the three drains. Replacing it (42 incher) would mean replacing all the tile counters (not in our current budget). The prior patches I’ve used have held for months at a time before lifting, but this one will likely be the longest lasting patch and our final one, hopefully. The can says it dries smooth but really not smooth enough for this application. I’ve done 3 thin layers, letting it cure 24 – 48 hours between, and tried sanding the ridges. I applied in fully dry conditions though you are supposed to be able to do patches in water, too. I had expected a stinky glue-type product but there is hardly any odor at all. It’s paintable but it’s also rubbery so I’m only using it in white so far. I’ve not had good luck painting rubber in the past, but we’ll see. It’s pricy but worth it for the durability expected, plus, a little goes a long way. I liked that it was a glossy white for this job, but it yellows quickly, and I'll have to top it with sink-paint or white silicone caulk. (Gorilla 1 lbs. [Rewarded Review] Multi use waterproof patch effective, easy application and paintable.

I try to keep different types of repair material on hand like wood putty and spackle. I got this the Gorilla waterproof patch and seal paste for exterior water proofing applications. The Gorilla waterproof patch and seal paste is intended primarily for exterior use applications. This patching compound is a rubberized paste and is easily applied and spread with a putty knife and once dry is waterproof and paintable. The instructions state that the compound can be applied to wet or dry surfaces provided the surface is clean and free of dust. Although exterior use is primary, I experimented on filling holes in concrete block basement walls that have been painted with waterproofing paint. The idea is to fill the holes remaining after removing concrete screws or anchors and similar types of residual repair with a durable waterproof patch which preserves the original waterproofing and is paintable. The patch does have a rubberized feel and adheres completely to the surface while filling in holes and gaps. The patch appeared to be effective. Cleanup is fairly simple but have some mineral spirits on hand to clean off application tools. The manufacturer represents that if the can is maintained tightly sealed the patch material has a long shelf life. This is a good addition to my patch and repair inventory.

[Rewarded Review] Seals Leaks

I was so impressed with Gorilla Tape that I wanted to give this a try. I used this to seal a small leak in an old deck box. I need it to stay dry because I store my Peat Moss, and other outdoor garden materials in the box. I could have applied it neater but I was in a race against some bad weather. It does not look pretty, but it does the job. I used a five-In-One tool to open the can and apply the paste. The Gorilla Waterproof Seal and Paste is thick, and appears hard. But, it was soft, and went on smoothly. The first time I opened the can I wiped my tool on a cloth. I used a rubber hammer to seal the can tightly. When I opened it again the paste was still soft. The second time I scrapped the tool off on the inner lip of the can. Well it was enough to break the airtight seal. It caused the top layer to get hard. I skimmed it off and everything was ok again. I suggest not scrapping the tool off on the can lip.
