Bad faucet, good outcome!
My wife and I went to Lowes to shop for bathroom faucets and picked out two that we really liked. After a few days the plumber came to install them and found one was an old used faucet that someone had returned to Lowes. I immediately returned to Lowes to get this resolved, and without hesitation, Lowes crew did just that. Thank you Lowes.
Moen's a Winner
I like the that it appears to work well, and because it's a Moen, I understand that it is guaranteed for as long as I own the house in which it was installed. That's a winner.
O-Ring changing is terrible
This faucet is poorly designed for changing the rubber o-rings in the faucet. Cartridge 1224 is hard to get out (I thought I was going to damage the cartridge). We've had other faucets thru out the years that were a lot easier (and I mean a lot easier). If I knew this was that difficult I would not WASTE MY MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT.
Shame on Lowes
I had to purchase a second one because Lowe’s online has yet to deliver my first one (ordered almost one mth ago). Now I have charges for two of them but only have one
easy nice looking faucet
replaced an old faucet with this. The ability to push and close the drain, or lift the drain plug out to clean it is awesome. Hope this lasts for years and years.
Nice Faucets-poor drain system
These faucets look very nice but the drain pipe sealing system relies on a rubber gasket compressing against the bottom of the sink using a plastic nut and when I installed them with what I thought was reasonable tightness (they are plastic fittings so I didn't want to break them) both of them leaked and I had to put sealant on both of them to make them water tight. Rather disappointed in what is supposed to be a high end product.
Changed the design from the old model
This was a wonderful faucet for many years. Just went to buy a new one and they changed both the drain and the handles. The worst part is the new handles which now wiggle like a cheap faucet. The olds ones were smooth and rock solid. the drain is now a push button drain - which is ok, but I'm betting it will be non functional in a year. I hate it when redesigns ruin a great product.
Not matching spec and leaking drain design
The faucet itself looks solid. But...
Leaking after less than year
We purchased three of these faucets and two are leaking after less than a year's use. They aren't like the former types of faucets where you can get someone to come in and replace a seal - you have to contact Moen and have them send replacement cylinders... and then have those installed at a cost. We thought Moen would be a good brand, but these have not turned out to be dependable faucets, sorry to say!
Water Spots
I love the look of this faucet. I purchased the faucet because the description said that it was spot resistant. My faucet NOT spot resistant. I use the sink many times a day. I am also cleaning the faucet many times a day. I am not recommending this faucet. I wish I could exchange.
Pretty, pictured with latch drain, but not that
From the online description and photo of the Moen Graeden Spot Resist Brushed Nickel 2-Handle 4-in Centerset WaterSense Bathroom Sink Faucet with Drain, it seemed it had the old-fashioned latch control (remote) for the drain--what was selected had the "push drain". Had I known it at the time would have been returned, but the plumber was coming the next day.
installation problem
We had our contractor install this faucet. It looks great in our small bathroom. But during the installation, the worker broke one of the pieces. He said he was trying to tighten it and it cracked. I'm not sure who was a fault. The worker or the faucet? They got a new piece to replace the one that broke, so I'm happy now.
so far so good
This is a very pretty faucet. Installation was not as difficult. We have been using it for 2 weeks and so far no leaks. BUT, the drain has a major design issue. The plastic around the drain is not flat enough to drain all the water. There is always water residue around the drain. Hope this won’t cause any leak issues in the future.
Eye appealing faucet
We recently renovated our bathroom vanity. This faucet was the exact look we were going for. All of our fixtures are satin nickel, so this matched very well. Works and functions perfectly after install. Satisfied and highly recommend!
Washer is worthless. Use plumber's putty
The upper thin washer that's supposed to go on top is worthless. Just use plumber's putty. BUT don't use too much or you'll clog the overflow slots in the tail piece. You can stick you finger in the oval slots to be sure they're not clogged.
Conflicting info provided re: drain.
On some views of the Product page, the photographs show a drain control lever behind the spout. In the Specifications document, some views show a drain control lever behind the spout. I bought 2 of these in spite of the WaterNoSense flow rate because there will be 2 on the counter, so I can increase the flow to get hot quickly when needed.
SUPPLY LINE DESIGN FLAW
Nice looking faucet. Only flaw is the brass water pipe aren't threaded down far enough, making it VERY difficult to attach the water supply lines.
Beautiful, but ensure you get correct supply lines
Looks beautiful and works great. Made the mistake of grabbing braided supply lines without checking the compatibility with Moen. They did not fit. Ended up using Pex Riser Supply Lines which had to be trimmed. Still, it worked out well.
Looks great, but drain is horrible
Easy to install, but kept leaking from washer under bottom of sink. Tightened as much i could without breaking it. Drain is plastic so can't use wrench to get more snug. I ended up buying a brass drain with good washer and steel bolt. No leaks. Shame i had to spend $80 on faucet then $35 on drain to fix Moen's cheap parts. First time buying Moen and probably last. It does look nice though and faucet works fine.
The title is adequate.
Our plumber recommended we select a Moen or Delta faucet set. We selected this Moen product due to its appearance since it complimented the rest of the bathroom. Our plumber was delighted with this selection since he said it was one of the easiest faucets he has installed. He also liked the “tap” feature for the drain with this set. I was previously unfamiliar with this feature but have quickly learned to like it. We are very satisfied with this selection!
