First Time On line shopper of furniture

The furniture arrived in perfect condition. I ordered the bed and two other pieces from the set. The delivery men,Alberto and Vincent, were very professional and pleasant. We were the last delivery of the day at 8:30p.m. Coleman promised me the furniture by a certain date and it was ready to be delivered even before that date. The cherry wood looks more brown than in the picture but the set is very elegant and expensive looking. I am very happy with my purchase.The lady who took care of my order was also very pleasant. No complaints at all..

Buying a bed it shouldn't be this hard.

Getting this bed was quite an ordeal. When I initially ordered our king size bed, I was told that the product would take about four weeks to be delivered. It took more than five. When we finally got the bed it was damaged. There were cracks in the headboard and the footboard. When I contacted Overstock about the damage, I initially mentioned the headboard damage, but forgot to mention the footboard. So I immediately called back and asked them to add that to the replacement order. (I emailed photos to them to show the damage as well.) They apologized for the inconvenience and readily agreed to replace both. It took them a week to finally process a replacement order. When I eventually received replacement confirmation, I called Overstock to make sure both items were included. (The verbiage on the confirmation led me to believe that only the headboard was included.) The rep assured me that it included both pieces. From there, it took another several weeks to get the delivery. And just as I suspected, the footboard was missing. I called Overstock again and the rep I spoke to apologized profusely and admitted that they had screwed up. She said they would process the replacement order right away. They did so and the replacement footboard arrived in 11 days. , , , ,,,,,,,,,,,,, Thankfully both replacement pieces arrived without damage. They were packaged much better than the original shipment. The original pieces were each in a single box with no additional protective wrapping, whereas the replacement shipments were double boxed and/or had additional bubble wrap, shrink wrap, etc. to protect them. I suggest the fulfillment department considered packaging all shipments with the additional packaging in order to reduce the likelihood of damage, especially considering that the overall quality of the bed was somewhat mediocre for the price point. Don't get me wrong, the bed is beautiful, but the wood seems somewhat of a lower grade and the assembly was lackluster, evident by the fact that (on the original headboard), you could see where the wood pieces met because there were gaps in the stain/finish. (The replacement headboard also had this, but it was very minor.) For the price you're paying for this bed it should be better made. , ,,,, , ,,,,,,,,,,,,, Overall, the bed is gorgeous, but overpriced for the quality.
