Not really what I expected. 28” on the horizontal leg but only 6” where it bolts to the wall. Afraid that a couple hundred pounds of granite will pull the 1/4 lags right out of the studs. Welded an 18” piece of 3/8 steel to the 6” leg and drilled for 5/16 lags.

This bracket is not as pictured. The upright part is exactly 5.5" inches long, and has only three holes, not four. so if you think you're going to put a heavy counter on this, think again!

This is a great product. I used two for supporting my Quartz countertop overhang. Sturdy metal, heavy and strong. I used the instructions found online to install as I could not find the instructions in the package. Overall, great support for Quartz countertops.

I would recommend their flat 'plank' brackets, but I cannot recommend this L shaped bracket. I mounted this as snugly as possible into a wall stud (even removed a section of drywall so it could attach directly) and the tip of the support has too much play (3/4" of inch vertically). The steel is thick, but the eblow joint is simply not strong enough to limit deflection and adequately support a 18+ inch cantilevered countertop that someone could potentially sit on.

Brackets are great fit and should hold the weight no problem.
