Terrible Assembly instructions, very difficult to understand. The verbiage is so bad. We actually found that the instructional video is incorrect also.

decent quality, works well now that its up and installed. great price for what you get. please note: the instructions (if you call them that) are very minimal, vague with small undetailed pictures. I consider myself quite handy and have put together countless pieces or furniture, small appliances, etc etc from instructions and these are some of the worst ive seen. after one small undetailed mistake in the beginning, I had to disassemble and reassemble the whole unit. once done and up, its great. pain to get together

This has been a life saver. Instructions are a little confusing, but once you figure it out the assembly goes pretty quick. I suggest two peoole to assemble. It’s super easy and provides the shade I needed!

Delivery time was great. Attractive awning. Perfect fit. Very happy with this purchase.

Tilted awning

The installation manual was not very clear at several points. I had to undo several steps before finally getting it right.

Color is not accurate in ad.

Liked everything except the awning itself. Said BROWN and it is a khaki, tan color. Brown is like coffee, chocolate. I had to buy a replacement awning fabric, brown to get what I thought I was getting.

The product was not overly difficult to assemble .The instructions were a little difficult to follow .I would recommend a review of instructions there seems to be a few details which would help with assemble .It has been several years since I assembled this type of awning .I have always tried to do my own assembly most of the time with success .

Not to Specs; Crooked

I recently mounted this item. I noticed that the arms were not centered when assembling. It's not possible to move were the arms set here. When mounted, it is crooked and looks bad.

Great value

They look great and function well. They look like they cost more than they are were. The only difficult part was assembly because some of the picture and directions were a bit confusing but it is easy to figure out and once it is put together, it works well.

I was very disappointed with the awning. The awning was wider than described. The instructions were difficult to follow! We had to make several adjustments to the awning to get it to fit. Not at all what I expected!

The quality is there, but the instructions are not very good. You really have to pay attention to the little side pictures so you're not upsidedown. Other than that I would buy another one.

My husband is a structural engineer and carpenter and even he has struggled to figure out the assembly. The instructions are poorly written, illustrations tiny and not well labeled. I’ve noticed assembly instructions have become worse on several recent purchases. The awning itself is nice but good luck putting it together.

This is really nice. I paid someone to install due to the confusing instructions. Other than the instructions I have no complaints. Arrived on time and no damage. Very easy to open and close. Nice addition!

Quite simple to affix.

Easy to install by low skilled person. Can be done by 1 person, but so much easier with a helper. Only disadvantage is there are no instructions on how to coordinate the two separate arms that roll out from the same crank. In hard winds, roll it in against the wall and there are no issues.

Patio Awning that will give you some shade!

This Manual Retractable Patio Awning is an inexpensive solution for a very sunny outdoor space. It is has a Simple crank that works well. One of the photos shows how water pools on it should you forget to close it.

Shade, sunlight, rain water, and plants protection

It has been over a week since this shade is sailing in my backyard, and so far so great. It gave shade and also allow the sunlight to shine through to feed my plant and not darken area at all.

Nice awning

I am happy with the quality of this awning. Installation was a bit of a problem since I installed it wrong. I did not think it through and had to take it down and rotate it 1/4 turn. Also I installed it over a arched window so it is pretty high up and the pole to extend and retract does not reach far enough to use without a step stool. But over all very happy.

Hard pass next time.

This is my first awning, so I don’t claim to be an expert. But I do know if I were to purchase another awning, knowing the ordeal I went through building this one, I would not get this again. I consider myself relatively handy, fabricating many things from metal, wood, etc. I'm a born Do-It-Yourselfer, so I have a ton of tools and have built, fabricated, fixed, and created many different things. For the lady that posted she built and mounted this awning all on her own....WOW! Props to her!

Instructions not good

Took me about a week to put together due to poor instructions, I was forced to contact the company and they did provide me with a video, even thought was better than the manual it still was confusing and had no audio. Hung very easily however no info at all on final adjustment but between my wife and I we figured it out. Rating would have been a 5 if assembly were easier

Got it installed

Nice awning. Appears to be of good quality. My only complaint is the instructions. This awning needs to be completely assembled before installation. Even the fabric needs wound on the roller. The instructions were written by someone not familiar with the English language. Pictures are small and poor representation of the assembly process. You need to to be fairly mechanically inclined to do this . Lacking detail in the instructions.
