AWESOME TENT

I work at Cabelas in Montana I m the camping lead. When this tent came on our truck I fell in love with it right away. Kudos to whoever made this tent! Love the zipper design. My husband n I put it up no problem n in a few minutes, camped in it for 3 days. Had 2 cots n dog bed but still had room for 2 chairs n end table incase it rained. It got cold but I think our Mr buddy heater would keep it warm. I mention to bring it but my husband said we don't need it. Temps drop to 30 degrees or lower but I was very satisfied with this tent. I also purchased the wearable camp blanket, I couldn't figure it out but it still kept me warm. Looking forward to getting more products from core.

This is a great tent!

I bought this tent months to get ready for a camping trip. When the time finally came, rain was expected soon. Having never opened this bag prior, I found set-up very simple. The tent was up in a few minutes with the help of my wife. Taking the tent down was just as easy, tent was down and ready to go within 2-4 minutes. The first night it rained a decent amount and this tent didn't leak. The built in lights were great for my son at bedtime using the built-in light/nightlight. Plenty of windows and top screen to provide air flow. The tent is over 6 ft in the center for.

Great tent! Good buy overall

Pretty good tent for a pop up tent, I struggled a bit to put up myself but with 2 people would be quicker. The rain fly should be put on before poles extend all the way to make it easier. Rain did leak in from window pockets but need to spray with waterproofing spray first all seams. Great space and forgot batteries or I would have tried the cabin lights. I love that half of it can be either screen room or extra bedroom. Great buy!

Amazingly easy!

This was so quick and easy for a beginner camper. I love the lights. I put an Anker external battery in the battery pocket instead of using disposables. The light kept our campsite from being too dark also. My only complaint is really just a design flaw. The pockets on each side of the wall are nowhere near where we would lay our heads. We put a queen air mattress in it and the pockets seems like it would’ve been intuitive to put near the “head” of the tent instead of at our feet in the middle.

Love the size and love

Love the size and love the LED lights. I was able to set up the tent by myself the first time, but would have been much quicker and easier with at least 2 people. Rained heavily after being set up and did get a small amount of leakage. Seems like the leakage was where the net storage bags were attached and where the window tie straps were. Very easy to wipe up. Folding the tent back up was not real easy for one person to do, but I did it! Best for at least two people to setup and take down the tent. Overall, I am very satisfied with the tent.

Made to Last

I have never in my life wrote a review but I buy based on reviews and I couldn’t let this one go. This is a very durable tough build tent. I got caught in a very nasty storm with high winds and this tent stayed in tack and nothing broke or ripped. I had to hold the side wall so it doesn’t collapse on us but eventually we left everything in the tent and ran to the truck. That tent took a bitting for 5 hours in the wind/rain and didn’t not break. I had some water in the tent but compare to how bad the storm was the water was nothing. The stakes did pull up but didn’t damage the eyes, seems held up wonderful, metal poles didn’t brake or bend, zippers work, lights work. I thought I would had just to throw it in the trash after the storm but oh boy I was wrong. Great buy and I hope this review helps someone make the decision I did 3 year ago!

Perfect tent. Easily set up

Perfect tent. Easily set up in a few minutes. The photo shows a queen bed along with a twin bed. We had plenty of room even with a table and a portable toilet for the three of us including two dogs. The built in lights were well worth it. We enjoyed five days with temperatures between 60 and 100 without problems including a 2” downpour that only leaked a teaspoon of water near one of the lower air vents. The tear down was also easy and everything fit back into the bag as it should. We did purchase the footprint. I wish Core had interior floor covering to fit as well but we found that on Amazon along with heavy duty stakes. Read the directions and take your time setting up and you shouldn’t have any problems. Great purchase/ Great tent.

Almost perfect!

I have to say, I wish I could give it 4.5 stars instead of 4 but the system won't let me do that.

Core Tent

This is my first time camping as an adult, I took my two grands 12 & 8 with me. First of all, THANK GOODNESS for Core Life Reps! I placed an emergency call because one of the poles seemed twisted and i couldn't get it setup. Someone immediately called me back, emailed a video of how to untwist the cloth/pole. We got the tent up and it looks awesome! It rained hard a few times, but the tent did not leak. This baby stayed strong and getting the lighted tent was soooooo worth it! Because of Core being there when I needed them, we will be ordering the 12 person lighted tent when it comes back in stock!

Not good in winds 10-15mph

Overall, I love the design, layout, zipper strength, and ease of use; however, the stake loop near the large entrance tore off, as well as a corner loop tore off during winds higher than normal, but not what I’d consider intense (approx. 10-15mph). These winds resulted in the tent being half collapsed and I was using after market heavy duty tent stakes. Can’t speak to the efficacy of the stakes that come with the tent, but overall worried about how many uses I’ll get out of this tent after my first use in barely temperamental weather.

Awesome Tent

Quick and easy setup, great design, excellent materials. Very pleased with this tent. Take down is also quick. I’ve been camping for years, have owned hundreds of tents, and this Core tent is so far the best. We’ve only camped with it once so far, so I can’t comment on longevity, but no reason to think it won’t last long. Highly recommend this tent. We used a queen and a twin air mattress inside and still had approx 1/2 the space inside available. Lots of space.

Great tent -- hot or cold!

We received our tent and promptly put it up (in about 5 minutes) in the backyard. Kept it up for a week cuz the kids loved it. Lighting was a nice touch and nice to have at the end of the night as everyone was getting settled. As we like space, this is great for 3-4 grown people. Since we are in TX, it was hot and humid 2 nights, rained 2 nights, and then was cold 1 night. We were comfortable every night. Definitely recommend!

Awesome Tent

I have been camping my entire life and this is by far the most well engineered tent I have ever owned. The tent truly goes up in 2 minutes and comes down in about 5 minutes. Everything fits back in the original bag without having to cram it all in. That’s the first tent I have ever owned that I can say that. The only downfall is that we had a heavy dew the first time we used it and it did leak in a few spots. However, I called customer service and had a new rainfly shipped to me within 2 days.

Beware if You Plan to Use a Rechargeable Power Pack

The tent itself, aside from the lighting part, is great and should be related GREAT. I would spend some time noting the good points of the tent but instead have to make note of a misrepresentation in the product information and tech specs that is probably useful to any customer planning to use a rechargeable power pack to power the tent as I was. Despite the product description stating otherwise, the tent light switch will NOT function with a standard 5V, 1A Output Rechargeable Portable Power Pack. The draw on the two dimmer of the three lighting modes (Low and the Amber Night Light), and the current used to power the glowing light switch when the lights are turned off, is lower than the current required to keep a standard power pack “ON”. Customer Service was eventually able to confirm that the minimum current draw for the lighted tents is 2mA. So only those rechargeable power packs that will not self-power off when the current draw is this low will actually serve the intended function. This is almost no power pack out there (most power off once the current draw is less than 50-60 mA). Some products, such as some by Anker, have a trickle mode that won’t power off after a few seconds, but still will still turn off in around 2 hours with such low current draw. OmniPower has some higher end power packs that have an always-on mode. In any case, be aware of this as the switch will NOT work with most standard 5V, 1A Output Rechargeable Portable Power Packs, only those rare types that will not power off when only a very small current such as 2 mA is drawn. I have requested that the product page be updated to inform potential customers of this, as it’s a pretty big issue if you goal is use a standard power pack instead of packing D batteries all the time. Or provide a list of power packs (or even sell power packs) tested to work with the tent. As all I have tried from major brands including Anker, and a number of non-major brands, have the identical issue of turning off after a few seconds rendering the light switch non-functional. As of the date of this review, I haven’t received any respond from customer service updating the product page, and the product description online has not been corrected to note this functional REQUIREMENT. Other than this issue, customer service has been great. Since I bought the tent to use the lighting, and to do so with a standard power pack, this is an pretty big issue for me and I think would be for most other customers unless you plan to use the 4 D batteries to power the tent.

We love our tent and the great customer service.

We ordered the 9 man Lighted Instant Tent. We absolutely love it. There was one issue with it so we emailed customer support. They responded immediately and the issue was resolved in a great way!

Easy up and down

Although we have not used this tent yet as the weather has not cooperated we have tried it out in the yard for the day. The ease at which I can put this up alone and take it down alone (I'm 5'3") is incredible. The light feature will offer so much flexibility camping in not so great weather and with kids. The floor seems heavy duty and there's plenty of room for us and our kids and our stuff. We are so far incredibly happy with this purchase and really looking forward to using it on trips.

Can't wait to go camping in our new Core tent

We just received our new tent and set it up this afternoon. It practically set itself up. My wife and I easily had it set up in about 5 min, her first comment was "Well that was easy, a lot better then the Coleman" I'm anxious to see how fast I can put it up next time, knowing the routine. Our biggest issue was the rain fly, but again knowing the routine it will go better next time. The lights were a definite highlight for my wife, she really liked this feature. One thing we liked with our Coleman that isn't on the Core is the D-shape swinging door. Not really a big deal. We can't wait to go camping!!!
