Low quality. Product does not last.

My GE 50-pint dehumidifier failed only after four months of use and continual E6 errors. I tried unplugging it for hours but that did not work. In fact, my last GE dehumidifier failed after just over one year of use. The once storied General Electric Co. of the past is no longer after being bought out by Haier. Now this company, in name only, puts out cheap products that do not last.

I like that it uses a hose to drain

It works well and is quiet to run. I also like it is on rollers

Have only had this dehumidifier since Aug, now it keeps getting E6 error every 4 or 5 days. I have to unplug wait and plug in again for it to work. I have a Keystone dehumidifier that I purchased from 2016 that is still running fine. From other reviews, it looks like this is a common issue with these units. I will look at warranty information for options.

Worthless

4 months and it goes into E5 and E6. I have gotten no help from GE I would NOT RECOMMEND this product. It is impossible to get a new one, since we bought it on-line. DONOT BUY THIS PRODUCT

Great Dehumidifier

So far so good. I’ve had this product since September. It’s quiet, and was easy to set up. Right now my basement is at 52% humidity so the dehumidifier is doing the job. The one glitch I had was the change filter light came in after about 3 weeks. I checked the filter and it was perfectly clean. I also couldn’t get it to connect to the WiFi but I’m always home so not a big deal. I always purchase GE products.

Unit stopped working properly after approximately 2 months with E6 error code. Intermittent function. Recommend purchasing Best Buy insurance if you are considering. Disappointed with GE for poor quality machine and Best Buy for not standing behind their product (2 week return policy).

[Rewarded Review] GE Pint Dehumidifier

I have this in my detached garage in Florida. I had a big problem with mold on my motorcycle leathers and other clothing. I figured it couldn’t be good for my bikes either. I considered an air conditioner but decide to try a dehumidifier instead. This one is working great so far ( a few months) and pumps the water out the garage.

It works very well. Downgraded one star because it can be louder than some may like. At night I notice it, but otherwise I don't.

good simple product.

this is wonderful simple do the job appliance. This is the third one I have bought. The first one bought 5/13/2017 quit collecting water, but worked until 2024. All trouble shooting did not fix the problem. It seemed the coolant was not there anymore. So I have purchased a new one.

Save yourself a headache and buy a different brand. This dehumidifier is overpriced and doesn’t work as well as the description claims. It will stop collecting moisture and/or stop draining here and there as well as just stop running even when the power is on. Eventually it stopped completely and started flashing a F2 trouble code which means the sensor went out. It lasted 2 years.

Pump stopped working

Had this a year, been working fine, but a week ago the pump stopped working. I've checked all the troubleshooting tips and they are not the issue, and there's nothing useful in the manual. Any help available?

Two units went down with in one year.

Two of these dehumidifiers died in 6 months (second one in 7 weeks). Stay far away from GE, it’s more expensive and does not last that long. I was saved by Best Buy total tech as other reviews mentioned GE’s warranty gives you the run around. Had the E6 error pictured that many others have dealt with.

Do not buy

Has a leak after owning for 2 months. GE forces you to buy a new one as a replacement and refund you after purchase (6-8weeks to get a check). However, they will not refund you in full. So you're either stuck with a unit that doesn't work or continuously buy these and spend more money every time.

JuNK! Do not buy.

This is junk! Worked for 3 weeks. Consistently getting E6 error codes and it will not stay running.
