I saw this at my daughters home and loved the "stone" colour and the smaller size plus the drain option. I LOVE it. The addition of being able to make it smaller and it is not as big as my old kitchen drainer. I also bought on sale but Joseph Joseph is a quality product in this and everything else I've ever bought. Would definitely recommend. So nice to have a different colour choice available too JJ.
Perfect !
This dish drainer is perfect for everyday use, it comes apart completely, holds alot for its compact size, even more when expanded. All my dishes & extras are held nicely, nothing falls out. Great utensil holder. The stone/green colors are lovely and quiet and should compliment any decor/style. I've spent a small fortune on dish drainers in the past few years, nothing compares with this one except the Joseph Joseph stainless steel expandable dish drainer which I also have for holidays/big cooking projects, etc
5 stars for the idea, 1 star for rusting and price
We've had this rack for a few years. Overall, I like the design and the usability, but very disappointed that the metal parts of the rack have started to disintegrate. This leaves a crumbling rust on the plastic, which is potentially contaminating clean items on the rack. For the huge expense of this product, I would expect it to perform better than this. JosephJoseph don't offer a rack replacement, so if you need to replace it - yup, that's another £65 (plus more for future price increases). Even worse, I don't need the plastic bit replaced. Replacing that just adds to the mountain of plastic garbage we are already producing. I just need a new rack. Come on guys, be sustainable, please.
Quick to setup, store and clean. It has a nice amount of space for pots, pans, dishes, plate and and holder for cutlery. It has a good design where it has a spout to let of the excess water. Just don't purchase the metal version of this as it has a design flaw where it leaks rather out of the spout but in the interconnection of the section which they haven't fixed yet.
Absolutely fabulous!
I now have the complete set, bowl with plug..great idea. Sink tidy..so useful and now the expandable dish rack.
Expensive but does the job
We bought this for our new wood worktops. We were advised by our carpenter that drainage grooves in the wood are pretty useless and just result in sodden wood. This protects the worktop 100%, is extendable and drains into the sink. Expensive, but not compared to a new oak worktop!
Well thought out
I bought this recently, the main reason being I needed a drainer with rubber feet as my new stainless steel draining board marks very easily. My only complaint, apart from it being rather expensive, is that the good design doesn't really extend to the cutlery holder. Unfortunately this is very awkward to clean thoroughly owing to the way if fits on the draining area.
Great For Small Spaces
Great little dish drying rack for small spaces. We've had it for years but we never really use the extending part as it doesn't have a rack on that bit and i find it gets pretty dirty/grimy quickly. It's a bit difficult to clean so I try to scrub it with vinegar occasionally. Like others have mentioned it can get a bit mouldy around the spout and the spout also tends to fall out easily.
Best dish drainer I ever bought
I’ve never reviewed a dish drainer before - but this one is so good. Can change the size to fit your space. The part that holds the dishes is perfectly designed so plates stay in place (unlike my old one where they just fell over unless placed just so). And- I no longer need to endlessly clean limescale off my nice new sink’s own draining space, because this one traps water and funnels it down into the sink. Can’t recommend it enough.
Excellent dish & glass drainer - well designed
Excellent product. Quality construction, and exactly as described.
Nice product
Nice product. Love the colours. Does the job. I suppose my only negative is, that as it’s more substantial than my old one, it takes longer to drain when I put it in the sink after use, and therefore not as convenient to put it out of the way in the cupboard when not in use. I do feel it was a bit on the expensive side.
Adaptable & sturdy
Very sturdy — perhaps a little too much so for the "plug" (just visible in green under a glass in the photo), which required hefty pliers to rotate! No evidence of leakage from under the chute.
Great quality best buy amazing value for money
I Bought this five years ago thinking it’s over priced but it’s very hard wearing. Comes apart for easy cleaning. Can store a lot on and drains away all excess water. Best thing about this you can fold it all away keeps clean as it’s plastic.
Best purchase in a while
I absolutely love this dishwashing rack. The build is well thought of and quality and quality materials. Color is great, easy to put together and easy to expand although I don't need so much space. Very attractive and holds items like a bread board very well.
Absolutely love this drainer! Looks
Absolutely love this drainer! Looks right at home in my utility room. Nice and compact, and can be extended if needed. I was tempted by the black but was worried I’d forever have visible water marks like my last black drainer. Went with this colour and so far so good! Had lots of complements too!
Joseph Joseph expandable dish rack
spent ages looking for a dish drainer and thought this was a little bit on the expensive side but it then went on offer so I bought it. I am so glad I did as it’s brilliant. I use it on the small side during the day for bits and pieces and then expand it for a large amount of washing up. I also love that it drains out into the sink leaving no mess on the side. Highly recommended.
Really good but not possible to stop the drainer
It’s pretty good for general use and looks neat since it’s not a huge drainer. Would be great to have the ability to close the bottom drainer somehow. I can’t place it exactly next to sink, so drained water goes to the countertop. Fixed it with a small piece of towel, but I really liked its look so I’m keeping it :)
Very disappointed
Love the design, fits great, would've looked great too but sadly let down by what a believe is a colour fault.
Love this drainer
It looks stylish and it's so versatile! You can extend it and you can use the space in lots of different ways using the 'spikes' rather than being confined like old-fashioned products. It's easy to clean and drain water from it too. I have dark worktops so bought the 'dark grey' one and it doesn't stand out like a sore thumb.
Perfect washing up bowl & drainer
I love, love, love my new Joseph Joseph bowl and dish drainer it fits in my sink perfectly because it’s adjustable. I like the new colours which match my decoration and they look clean and fresh. My heavy retro plates and dishes are held safely in place on the dish drainer. I would recommend them to everyone.
