Great headboard

Love this headboard! Shipped quickly and arrived with no damage. The box was pretty battered but the headboard was packaged safely and not damaged at all. Sturdy and looks great. We have one of those plank bed frames that don’t require a box spring so it didn’t fit perfectly to attach to the bed frame as is. However, we just drilled a couple of new holes into the headboard and it worked great. Easy to build.

Screws are too small and it came off frame within days. Had to rectify it with other assembly materials.

Dangerous Product! Not Structurally Sound!

Bad design, poor implementation, bad choices of materials and fastening hardware, poor assembly instructions. A dozen screws hold a heavy upper section to the frame, but there are no pre-drilled holes in the particle board for the small Philips flathead screws, so they can't be driven in completely. Worse, the lower horizontal panel -- the only piece that attaches to the bed frame or base -- is actually masonite, so the four small short screws that supposedly hold it to the bed frame tear out with very little pressure, allowing the whole headboard to fall over onto the bed (and onto the head of anyone in the bed at the time). This product should be recalled immediately.

Very nice in appearance with a poor design.

While this headboard is very nice to look at, it is not designed very well. The bed frame attaches to a wooden piece that then attaches to the head board. There is only one small plastic bracket with 4 short screws to achieve this, and it will not hold up, mine started to pull apart the moment the bed was moved slightly. I will go buy some proper brackets and screws and fix this issue, unless you are willing to do the same I would suggest you not purchase this product.

A critical design problem

An attractive product, very well documented and easy to assemble. However, the tiny brackets for attaching the headboard to the bed frame are offset from an edge in such a way that the supplied particle board screws are much too short to be of any use. A representative from the manufacturing company agreed and was very cooperative by sending longer screws (which don't help much). I was told that it will be reviewed by their design team. Furthermore, the headboard holes do not line up vertically with my bed frame (a standard store product) and, since the heavy headboard would not be resting on the floor, proper attachment is doomed to failure. So, I will have to come up with a solution on my own. Great manufacturing company (web site, support staff, etc.) but they have a design problem in the case of this product. I would still consider buying something else made by them.

looks great! tough to assemble!!

I bought this headboard so that the room would look "finished" at a reasonable price. Price good, looks good, but it was tough to assemble because several holes were misaligned, so it took longer than expected. You need an electric drill--manual screwdriver won't be adequate.
