I bought this based on the description
This states it's a microfiber material. It might be classified as microfiber but it feels like a type of pleather. I searched for a long time for a compact comfortable desk chair that wasn't plastic or leather. I live in Texas it's hot you stick to these types of materials so it matters to me.

I wanted a swiveling, reclining desk chair that didn't *look* like a desk chair and this one is perfect!! I only just put it together a few minutes ago so I can't speak to its longevity, but it seems very sturdy and well-manufactured. The screws and holes lined up perfectly and all the parts were present and accounted for. (TIP: Don't tighten the arm panels all the way until you attach the back piece.) I'm sure it would've been quicker and easier to put together with 2 people, but I managed to do it on my own in about 40 minutes (and I'm a petit, middle-aged lady with no mechanical inclination whatsoever)! All-in-all, I'm very happy with my purchase!
