Modern house feeder great for small birds

I absolutely love modern houses, which is why I bought this bird feeder for my backyard. It is a nice size and holds a lot of food. You add food by lifting the top of the feeder. There are no dividers inside, so it only takes one type of food. There are openings on all four sides of the feeder where food can spill out onto the lip that surrounds the house. Birds can perch anywhere on the bottom to feed, which is very nice. I suspect it will attract mostly small birds because the perch area isn't deep, though it does surround the entire house at the bottom. All windows are covered with clear plastic and do not offer feeding perches. Feeding is available only at the bottom. My only concern is that the feeder itself is plastic and that is attractive for squirrels who love to chew plastic to get to food. I will do my best to hang it where squirrels can't reach it to extend its life. Overall, I love this new addition to my feeder collection.
