This came opened. Is it used a return? Defective?

I don't know if it is defective or works well. It was delivered obviously opened; the wrapper was laying on top of the opened unit case inside the sac. They should not send returned or opened items and sell as new. You can see from their photo there is no Coleman wrapper on the black plastic case. It had been torn off and was inside the sack.

currently the best all around best Colman stove

I have purchased this exact stove many times. It is superb as far as any other colman stove out there for ease of use and ease in which to find the fuel. I feel this is the best for camping as well as using as second stove or burner in the house.

Works great

I like the carrying case to safely transport the stove and butane fuel can. It's easy to start the burner. It cooks a meal for two like you would expect. I gave one to my son, and he's the one that I am referring of for this review. He's used it a bit when he camps. It's not really for a larger family, IMO, because of it's run time on a can of fuel. You can cook food that has shorter cooking times. Longer cooking times you will be changing the Butane cylinders every 1/2 hr to 45minutes of run time.

Perfect little stove for emergencies

We just went through hurricane Helene and lost power, my stove is electric so I couldn't cook anything. Someone suggested to get one of these and I did my research to make sure it would be easy enough for me to use, specially since winter is approaching and once in a while we lose power after extreme weather. It arrived fast, the butane cans took a few days longer but once they got here I tried it. It's super easy to insert the gas can and light it up. I wish I had bought one of these years ago.

Good stove, cldelivery caused damage

This is a great little stove that tided me over when Hurricane Helene knocked out power in my area. I donated an extra one I had so wanted a replacement. My delivery was delayed, which was okay, but the box it was in looked banged up. Sure enough, the case the stove came in was cracked. Luckily, the stove itself still worked.

This stove is my must have. I use it for hot pots, to cook/fry smelly food outside. Especially, it’s very useful for when you don’t have power, this will come handy, you can cook anything you want. I always keep one of these in my storm shelter. Also, it very fuel efficiency.

I’m happy to own this Coleman butane one burner camping cooker. It’s super easy to set up and use. We purchased this right after a hurricane. Our electricity was out and we needed a way to cook. Its burns and cooks great. Doesn’t use a ton of butane either one bottle last for a bit. We also pull it out to do s’mores from time to time. I have no complaints on this burner.

Excellent Camping and Prepping Gear

I have two of these butane stoves and use them all the time. They are light and I keep one in the Truck and one at my office. Easy to set up and easy ignition. Love the light blue vintage color on o e stove.

The Stove Is Good, but the Case is Crap!

The stove seems to be very good. It is light-weight, easy to use, and works well. The reason I took off two stars is the ridiculous case it comes in, which broke almost immediately, and is now completely useless. It's plastic, for goodness sake. There's a recycle symbol with some Korean characters stamped inside, but it is Coleman that chooses to use them, so I blame them. I have seen plenty of complaints since about their bad cases. Why do I care? For one, that's how best to store the unit - in its case. But more importantly, this is a mobile unit to be used while camping! It is meant to be thrown in a vehicle and treated relatively roughly. So why is it packaged in a case that is a total piece of crap?! I tried to contact Coleman support about this, and they do not respond. So I think I'll take off another star for that!

Compact design, can be carried when traveling, safe to use, can adjust the heat, food cooks quickly. I often use it to fry dishes, especially hot pot. Durable, long-lasting burn. No loss of flame with gas. High reliability. Very convenient for family parties….

The Coleman Butane Stove is for a portable cooking ideal, especially for camping, picnics, and outdoor activities due to its lightweight, compact design and ease of use for a quick meal. It can boil water fairly quickly. It has good safety features, simply setup and usage. A single butane canister lasts around 1.25 hours on high, making it ideal for short trips or single meals. However it’s not designed for harsh weather conditions or extensive cooking. I still recommend for its price and convenience.

Simple, Easy, Effective

Used it for a 5 day camping trip. Great value for the cost. Easy to use and easy to replace the butane. The flame ignited quick, and stayed strong. Water boiled relatively fast.

This little stove is perfect for outside cooking of any kind. The propane you need is compact and easy to just screw on and they are very inexpensive. We’ve had ours for years and it has held up thru a lot of use. Very happy with this product.

Somehow I lost my Chef Master butane burner, that I've been using for more than 3 years, and had to buy a replacement right away. Luckily Walmart had a sale on Coleman andI bought it. Immediately I realized the difference. It burns so much better than the previous one. 5 Star for this burner. I wished I bought Coleman as my first but it certainly will become the last one I ever purchased.

Great little stove

Great little stove. Easy to light and transport. It does not have any wind shield, so the wind can and will blow out the flame as it did for me a few times. It has lower BTU’s than I wanted, but it cooks well. It just takes a bit longer for certain things. Great stove. Well built.

It just works!

This baby worked exactly as it should! I did need a windbreak, but that's not the stove's problem haha. Without the wind, it did bring water to a boil much much faster! This is a camping necessity if you're camping solo or don't need two burners!!

Cooking grate not removable

I was disappointed and surprised that the cooking grate on this Coleman Model 2800 is not removable. And there's a bottom metal plate closing off access from the interior. This design means you have no way of deep cleaning any grease or other dirt that may collect around the interior burner area. I've owned other similar stoves, and they all have had a removable cooking grate. So I will return this Coleman stove.

Good little burner

This is very simple to set up and use. I've used it for boiling water and making bacon and eggs. The water is simple. The bacon and eggs are hit and miss. There's not much variation in temperature so things will cook faster than you expect. The burner also shut off when I had it on low a couple times so be mindful of that.
