A good, sturdy buy -- setup instructions need some work
Overall, this product is stable and worth the money. The wind has already blown it over twice with minimal damage to it (No cats inside it; it was during storms.) The instructions and the setup were a bit challenging, just like several other reviews said. If you really focus and use some intuition, it's really a nice addition. I got a hammock, as well, and my three cats love it.
Great catio!
This is a nice sized catio, my cat loves it! I was able to easily change the bottom section's door, so it matches up perfectly with a window. It's well made, and I was able to put it together myself. Definitely recommend!
Such a fun way to spoil the kiddos
I put this together with nothing but a drill and a can of leinenkugel. Easy peasy, just take your time and look closely at the illustrations.
Quality, useful and good training product
My cats love this. I make sure that my kittens are all raised and kept in here until they are fully acclimated to our dogs and they all have become familiar and friends
Ease of putting it together
My son-in-law put it together rather quickly
Kitten isolation pod
I have very mixed feelings about this product. The thing I really disliked is that it was very stinky when I first received it. I assembled the catio outside hoping the smell would dissipate. It has taken over 2 weeks to get better. Putting it together was difficult for me to do on my own. Some sections were very difficult for me to reach with my short arms.
Happy so far!
Assembly wasn't too bad. The instructions recommend having two people, but I was able to do it solo. The wood used is pretty lightweight, but it also feels pretty sturdy now that it's fully assembled. It looks very nice, and while my kitty is still getting used to it, she seems to be enjoying her outside time! I had a fair amount of hardware leftover, but it seems like at least some of it was there in case I bought two and wanted to join them into one unit.
Stylish grey finish lets your cats chill outside in style
Unfortunately after assembling this catio, we went into a heat wave, so we didn't get to use it that much yet, however, when we did put our cats in it, they seemed very happy and relaxed. It doesn't take up too much space on our covered patio and the wheels make it easy to move it around anywhere we want. My boyfriend was able to put it all together in a short time and it seems pretty sturdy. I like that it has 2 sliding doors with latches in addition to swinging doors with sliding locks, making it easy to access your pets no matter which area they are resting in. There's enough floor space to put a small litter box, even. I'm happy with my purchase and the cats are happy to have some fresh air and sunshine added in to their day.
Defective
Defective product as received. Clearly seen word is defective. Refund issued solely if product is repacked and dropped at Fed Ex. 60lbs. Do not recommend.
My cat loves it
Feels pretty solid overall. The platforms bow a little bit with my 9 pound cat. It took me 4 hours to put together and I needed an electric drill, which it did not say in the description when I was purchasing it. I faced the doors in opposite directions so that I could put it against a window for him to come in and out of as he pleases. He is obsessed with it and spends a ton of time in there. I do appreciate that there is a hinge to open the entire side when I need to pull him out of there. Sometimes he does not want to leave but I don't want him outside when it is over 90 degrees.
Outdoor Catio
This catio is decently made and would be a reasonable size for most cats. However, if you have a long-legged, large cat like mine, the shelves (31") are a bit short (the width is OK), plus there is not a lot of overhead room on one of the shelves. My cat is 18 pounds, tall and can open doors by pulling on the door handles without jumping up; so he is not your average size cat. If you don't have a long-legged cat, this would be a nice catio. I put a rug down on the floor of the catio and cushioning on the shelves. I would give this catio 4.5 stars for a normal size cat and a 5 star rating if there was a way to attach a water bowl to one side of the catio.
Cat Porch
Pretty good product for the cost. The wood frame is a little soft. We drilled pilot holes before screwing in the screws to keep wood from splitting. If you are going to keep it out in the weather, I would suggest painting it with exterior paint before building to. My cat really likes it and uses it.
A nice addition for the cats
Fairly easy to put together. There was a considerable odor to the product but that faded after a few days. I added an indoor/outdoor carpet to the perches. The cats seem to enjoy
Our cats love this!
This catio is so nice! Our two indoor cats love going out and watching the neighborhood from the safety of their enclosure. We modified it a bit, turning the top half around so the cats can gain access from our living room window. They can go out whenever they like (weather permitting, of course.)
Pretty Good Catio
My husband put this together in an afternoon. Now I wish I had bought the bigger one. Probably will purchase the larger Catio in a few months.
I found it fairly easy to put together with the help of my daughter. It took us about an hour and a half. My cat absolutely loves it and we don’t have to worry about her when we are in the backyard.
Good Quality, Poor Design
I'll put the good first: My handyman commented on the VALUE for the PRICE. It is well made with real cedar and quality latches and screening, and went together easily. However, I need to ask why all the doors are on the same side? When you roll the unit flush to a cat door, there is no way to get into it unless you roll it back out. I may be wrong but I believe people would want to be able to enter the unit or let the cat out without detaching it from the house. Am I doing something wrong??
Catio
Product came within 3 days. Suggested 2 people for assembly. I’m 65 years old & live alone & I was able to put it together fairly easy & instructions were very easy to follow. I have only been using it for 2 weeks so can’t say how it will hold up but seems to be fairly sturdy.
Instructions need updating, and wasn't what I hoped for
As the sides are going together, would be nice to mention the need to have the ledges in the correct place to install the floor and the center perch between top n bottom. Would've expedited the assembly
Aivitutin cathouse
This is actually the 5th one i have purchased for a local animal shelter. They work so much better for the cats than the typical wire crates, where small kittens can get injured or stuck. The comfortably hold 3 adult cats or a momma with her kittens. I have “modified ours to make a larger platform for extra lounging space, but for the price, they are perfect and easy to assemble. Love that they are on wheels and easily roll through standard doorways, make deep cleaning easy.
