The only issue I had was when I was hammering it into the ground, the plastic piece on the top caves into the metal stand. The piece on the top should be made of something stronger than plastic so it won't fall apart.

Nice construction BUT
Love the construction of this hose holder. However the pole and the keeper on the front of the unit should be higher to allow it to hold more hose--have 50 ft and it the max. The hose slips off since it is not high enough.. The unit came quickly although the box had a big hole in it. No damage.
"Free standing" means that you have to dig a hole,...
"Free standing" means that you have to dig a hole, then use a bag or so of concrete in order to make the post solid.
