Bad durability
I bought this from Costco and the loop broke after 1 month. Only used it a handful of times.
look sturdy, im am not a typical overweight person so i think it would last for a couple of years.
fantastic lighter weight chair on a budget
Love these! Great for a day at the park, beach or even camping. I've used them on kayak paddles overnight and they are compact and lightweight enough. I haven't used them on overnight hikes as they are still a tab heavy and bulky, but perhaps good enough for a short overnight. Assembly is quite easy once you follow the instructions and use a bit of brain power. Slip on the top loops first and one of the bottom loops, Flip the chair on to its side with the attached part on the bottom and use the ground as leverage to flex the top pole and slip the 2nd bottom piece on.
Great customer service!
Great follow up customer service after my last review. Cascade Mountain Tech replaced the chair feet cups that had worn out after extensive use (more than a year), and they did this for free. Chair is now back to a 5 out of 5. Thank you to the customer service team and to the company for backing their product 100%.
Great chair, but…
Great chair, but the sand cups on feet have worn out after a year of use, and you offer no replacements?? Now I sink in any loose ground conditions and chair is pretty much unusable. Fix this situation and I would give the chair a 5 out of 5. Putting the chair together is a matter of following instructions, and some time for fabric to stretch a bit, then no problem.
Cloth wore out after 4 years.
Comfortable light weight. No replacement cloth available. Cloth part only lasted 4 years.
Assembly is tight, but it’s a good chair
As several reviewers said, the fit of the chair over the poles is tight, and it’s hard to get the 4th pole into the pocket. But one of the reviewers also gave some good advice on how to do it: set one of the upper corners (diagonally opposite to the corner you are trying to insert) down on the ground, and put some weight on the frame to bend it just enough get that last corner in the pocket. Then sit on it for awhile, take apart and reassemble a few times, and it eventually loosens up a bit. It’s bit of trouble, but the chair seems well designed and is quite comfortable. And very light weight! We will enjoy it, I’m sure.
A wonderful camping trip chair.
Easy to put together and very comfortable. A very good value.
Great chair but assembly nighmare.
Chairs are amazing; lightweight, comfortable, stowable and they look durable. However, the two i bought at Costco are going back and they are impossible to assemble. Once i did get it assembled the second time, it was impossible to take apart and then, one of the plastic ends holding the bungee together snapped. the chair is now totally useless and all because there isn't enough "give" in the fabric to assemble and take apart without Hercules.
Got this at Costco couple days ago. Very easy to set up very easy. And seems very comfortable. Yes you have to put a little muscle in to get the last pull in but it's really quite simple and I've heard that if you let it sit for a couple of days assembled that even gets easier. Highly recommend.
Lightweight, extra seating, decent support chair
Great little light chair! Yes, the chair fabric was initially stiff the first time assembling. We have happily owned and used: for sporting events, parks, basically even for quick additional seating for teen video gaming in our livingroom.
So glad I bought this chair
Great chair. Hubby takes it on his motorcycle runs—it’s the perfect size for the bike. Customer service is even better. Great company
[Rewarded Review] much better than a typical camp chair, stores compactly
Chair is very compact when folded, so it will fit in a small sports car. Frame assembles very easily. It takes some strength to pull the nylon over the frame. Comfortable once assembled.
Make a more heavy duty bag
The chair itself is OKAY. I bought two nd both of the zippers on the bags broke... making these chairs almost completely useless
There's technique involved, but it's an excellent
These chairs are excellent. I bought one last year, and was afraid if it wore out, I wouldn't find a replacement (plus it was on sale at Costco for $35cad).
Awesome lightweight and solid chairs!
I just got two of these for outdoor concerts where we have to hike a bit to get to the site. Much better than schlepping the big lawn chairs, and super stable and comfortable! My “hack” for fitting the bottom seat connector is to put the last tube into the fabric and then connect it to the hub. Way better leverage and much easier than trying to get the fabric to stretch over the tube.
Poor design
I bought 2 of these at Costco today for 30.00 each. I will return. I could not set them up as the fabric doesn't stretch onto the bottom legs. I am 65 years old and quite strong, but I could not get fabric on the last corner. I was concerned that if I got close to getting the fabric on that it would spring back and hurt me. I am recovering from a patella fracture, so I cannot chance it. I would have like these for our backyard camp fires, but would not be easy to set up. I bought them as they would be easy to store on the porch for the summer in their bags.
Long But Honest Review............
I bought this about 3 months ago and have used it over a dozen times on camping, backpacking and fishing trips. I love this thing! It is surprisingly comfortable and the seat folds don't rub against my forearms like another product I have. I sometimes just use it in the basement to sit and read.
Disappointed
A friend of mine had this chair and it is soooo comfortable while watching our sons at baseball. I ordered one and I could not get it to fit properly. It is a struggle. I cannot go through this every time I want to use. Too bad because It is light and easy to carry and comfortable
Super light and very durable, it is the second one that I buy because I gave away the other one that I had
