Would not purchase again. Chin to chest issue

We followed protocol for installation and make sure straps and everything are fitted properly and my daughters chin drops to chest while sleeping. It is very unsafe ans no matter what we do, it happens again. Very stressful to drive by myself with her in the carseat. She is 6 months and we are switching carseats finally.

My favorite stroller after 3 kids

My favorite stroller hands down out of the 6+ strollers I’ve bought or used with 3 kids. Love that I can close and open with one hand. The material is great and moisture wicking. Feels sturdy and maneuvers very well. And it just really is a good looking stroller. Worth every penny! Will upgrade to the V3 once it comes out next year. My only wish is that it reclines a little more.

Great Seats!

These seats are great. I purchased 2 for my twins. The pink washes really nicely, several spills on that one. The lite blue one however, seemed to make my son itch when he was about 2-7months old, even after washing it. I eventually just lined it with a thin blanket and that worked out. The itching did eventually stop. Super easy to remove and wash (after the first time), YouTube really helped with this. Very durable. The only con I have, is that my babies seemed to be rather hot every time I would take them out. Maybe the material isnt super breathable. This probably isnt an issue unless you plan to use it during long road trips. I probably wouldn't leave them in this seat longer than 90 mins.

Positional asphyxiation risk

Immediately noticed my baby's chin was on his chest. I had the pediatrician check the fit because I thought it was our fault - no, it's the design of the car seat. It's a huge risk until they are 4+ months old and actually fit well in the seat. There is a gap in the back area that makes their back sink in too far, and puts their neck in a terrible angle.

Save yourself and stay away from this car seat

We've used this same model car seat for our 2 babies. Just like all of the previous comments about the straps tightening, it is absolutely true. We didn't have an issue with the first car seat we bought in 2022 however, we replaced it with a new one and it does not work.

Great experience!

My experience ordering from CapitalKidz was great! I’m always a little cautious when ordering from an open-box or previously-owned store, but it was great. I ordered an open-box stroller, and it was in excellent condition. The stroller had all of the original packaging and instructions, and the box was in such great condition that I would have thought it came straight from Uppababy if I hadn’t ordered it myself. Shipping was fast too! I highly recommend if you find something at a good price.

Great travel stroller

We love this stroller for traveling. It fits through all the cabin doors on cruise ships. We cruise twice a month so that was very important to us as our full size stroller doesn’t fit through the small cabin doors. My biggest complaint about this stroller is the seat itself. There isn’t any support so my toddler slides down or slouches. I have read this complaint with others and they say the snug seat insert helps with this so I may purchase that.

Perfect for every day use.

Was brand new, just repackaged, really well. This stroller is bigger than our more compact travel stroller, but we use it as our main stroller, so it's perfect. The canopy is large, the seat is comfortable, thr basket is a good size, and since we added the snack tray and a cup holder on the top handle, it's perfect for everything we do. It's light and easy to push and maneuver with one hand.

I would not buy this product again

Initially bought for travel. Have only used 3-4 times over since purchase date of 2/2023. The canopy does not fold easily and becomes displaced from its prongs. The wheels alignment is "wobbly". Have reached out to manufacturer about replacement (preferably credit for another product) as the overall quality is fair at best and there solution was only replacing existing parts.

Mesa Max to Mesa V2

First, I would like to say that Uppababy has done right as a company for my family and I could not be more thankful for the wonderful customer service and care I received.

Gives us peace of mind

I decided to purchase the Mesa V2 Jake for our first born after having great experiences using it as a nanny. The bases are small but secure and very easy to lock the car seat into. The seat itself looks and feels very heavy duty and secure, but is light enough to carry around easily. Not to mention its slick look.

My little sports car

Love my Minu stroller! It lives exclusively in the trunk of my SUV. Currently we have it set up for my girls car seat which makes it such a quick process for shopping / drs visits to pop her car seat into it & get going. We also have a vista which we love, but that one stays at home for neighborhood cruises - we call that one the Cadillac. Very happy with our uppa baby gear!

Beautiful but uncomfortable

This car seat it is beautiful but uncomfortable. My 3month baby hates it, she cannot be by herself because she will cry to vomit. Her chin touches her chest. I'm wondering how this position is safe...I watched multiple videos cuz I thought I was seating her wrong, but not, once you get the insert out, baby gets like inside of the egg. We paid extra for the pure tech material, worst decision ever. Material feels like a sanding paper, my baby always ends up with a rash. Do yourself a favor and take a look in person before buying this car seat.

Regret buying - did not feel comfortable using with infant

My husband and I really regret this purchase. Our daughter was 5 lbs when we left the hospital and we were so nervous driving home because she just did not fit in this car seat. She was slouchy and awkward in it. It just didn't look right and her chin was completely tucked into her chest. We scheduled a consultation because we were nervous to take her in the car, and there was nothing they could really do. Aside from that, it's extremely heavy and does not offer enough sun protection. I feel like we're stuck with this option now, but definitely won't use it again if we have a second child. I love the other UPPAbaby products (we have a lot of them), but was very disappointed by this one.

Would not repurchase or recommend

This car seat is extremely difficult for the simple fact that it is nearly impossible to tighten the straps. Because of that, the car seat is unsafe. Every time I have to take my baby somewhere in my car (in my husbands car we have the doona, highly recommend) I dread it. It makes me have high safety anxiety driving with her. And reading other reviews, we aren't the only people that struggle with this. Also my husband struggles tightening the straps.

Not comfortable

My daughter cried from the very first time we used it. It's not comfortable at all . The middle of the back has a gap when she sits so she's not relaxed the head part is too tight everything is not comfy .had to buy another car seat. She never used after a week. The belts are too tight and not long enough I was always scared il clip her.

MY BABY ALMOST SUFFOCATED IN THIS CARSEAT.

DANGEROUS! WORST car seat! The first time we used it with my newborn I noticed respiratory stress. Flared nostrils & he was positioned with his chin pressed to his chest. I returned to the store where I purchased it and asked them to please check the positioning. It was fine. Last week my 3 mo. old was screaming! He was suffocating in the car seat! I went back to the store & they informed me that LOTS of people are having this problem. He was suffocating. Why have you not recalled this chair!

Too hard to tighten.

I'm 6'2 athletic build and it takes me all my effort to tighten this thing. Every time I strap the baby in, I end up swearing. Unsafe for anyone else to tighten it because they can't. My mother in law dropped the baby off recently and there was about 4 inches of space between the baby's chest and the chest piece because it was too hard. We bought another brand and it was much easier.

I would not purchase again.

My baby really disliked this seat from day 1 and would cry until he was taken out. He never seemed comfortable, his chin would rest on his chest, and he would overheat to the point that there'd be sweat all over the lining, which is especially worrisome because I selected the Gregory fabric to avoid breathability issues. We switched seats at 2.5 months and the crying stopped. The convenience of stroller compatibility isn't worth what seem like really safety issues.

Great quality

We had an older version of the mesa and it was about to expire so we needed a new one. The 2023 version is great and definitely built upon some flaws from the older versions. The canopy covers our child enough they are fully shaded and the padding for their head makes them seem much more secure in the car seat. Great quality and was as described.
