Do NOT buy this lantern. I filled it with kerosene and noticed it leaked - badly - from the base. Now I have been trying to let the kerosene evaporate because I cannot ship it back (hazardous waste) and it is still leaking everywhere. I also can't empty it as the hole to fill it is small and is located in an awkward spot to empty (and to fill by the way). What a waste of good money! It is also so flimsy that at first I though it was plastic. It's not but it is still not what I had bargained for.

Ended up giving these as a gift and they were very appreciated. The quality and appearance was very nice.

Haven't used yet but it did arrive unbroken as opposed to the other hurricane lamp that I had ordered. Moving parts are stiff and seem a bit like tinsel but I'm hoping it will work,

Quite nice. The packaging isn’t the most appealing so if this is a gift, you may be disappointed there. However, the item itself is great and sturdy. Recommend!
