GreenPan Deception - Used Waffle Maker Received

This waffle maker was shipped directly from a GreenPan warehouse. The item I received was clearly used: it was caked in waffle batter and covered in greasy fingerprints. Greenspan tried to disguise this used item as new by slapping a few stickers on it. This level of deceit is I don’t know appalling. Avoid Greenspan at all costs. I attached photos of what I received.

I've had three waffle makers in the past that have all been pretty basic, so I expected something similar when I first used this waffle maker. Boy was I wrong! This waffle maker works wonderfully for creating both regular and Belgian waffles that come out perfectly every time. The waffle maker really makes it simple to get the perfect texture and crispiness by choosing the setting of your preference, and begins cooking for the correct amount of time as soon as the lid is closed. The waffle maker is truly non-stick, and I have not had to use cooking spray or oil at all. It is also simple to clean, dishwasher safe, and compact to store. Being able to cook two waffles at once is a huge plus, since we are a family of 5! My only complaint is that the waffle maker does seem to cook slower than others I have had. For medium shade, slightly crispy waffles, it takes approximately 5 minutes. This is not a huge deal though, since it is able to cook two waffles at once.

I'll admit I wasn't sure one waffle maker could actually be significantly better than another, but this proved me wrong. I am new to gluten free cooking and I have missed waffles so much and they're very finicky to make. Half the battle seems to be having the right tools, so I put this waffle maker to the test and it did not disappoint! I used the normal setting and the "fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside" setting and my waffles were PERFECT. My husband didn't even know they were gluten free. They were perfectly deep golden on the outside and moist and fluffy on the inside. No pre-greasing the griddle needed. No worries about toxins in my food. And the size of the waffles is perfect--I let the extras cool on a wire rack and then froze them 3 to a bag for easy access. They reheat perfectly in a toaster (not too big) and are the perfect portion for a serving. SOOOO happy with this waffle maker--it truly is top of the line!

GreenPan Electrics Premiere Ceramic Nonstick 2-Square Waffle Maker Stainless Steel is the best waffle maker I’ve ever owned. I love that you can program it for what type of waffle you’re making and if you what a uniform texture or crunchy outside, soft inside. It even lets you choose a shade setting. You can play around with it to find your perfect waffle setting. For me it’s always buttermilk waffles, uniform texture, and a 4 on the shade scale. Then you set it and it just starts counting down as soon as you add your mix. It beeps at you when it’s done and you have perfect waffles every time. It’s pretty easy to clean too. I just wipe mine down where the mix was sitting. They aren’t kidding when they say nonstick. This also has a lock on it to keep it safely shut. It’s also easy to store and doesn’t take up a lot of space. I love the design and the black color goes with everything in my kitchen. This is really excellent.
