Nice little box, just very small

This garden box is much smaller than I expected. The measurements are clearly given but I guess I just wasn’t paying attention. I got this for my toddler to put next to his play house and have a little garden that he can tend to. It’s actually the perfect size for a kid or maybe an apartment balcony. It was super easy to put together with dovetail joints so no tools are necessary. The instructions were clear and simple. It’s a very good quality item, I’m just surprised at the size. From the length of the box, I expected the pieces to be longer.

Great cedar planter

A simple cedar planter with attention to detail in the assembly. The entire planter is made of cedar with no fasteners to rust of fall out. The dovetail joints are a precise and slide with minimum effort. Common parts for base and ends keep it simple and clean. The instructions are clear and this could easily be assembled by a child, with supervision of course. A beautiful addition to a porch or other small area that could use some flower color.

Small but functional

The greens fence cedar wood planter box is a good product. It was easy to assemble; all you have to do is slide the pieces around and within 5 minutes you will have a planter box ready to go.

Very nice real wood cedar planter box, with a clever screw less design.

Cool planter. Useful size, big enough for several plants but still something you could pick up to move when needed. The individual planks have dovetails and it took me a moment to figure out how to build it - very clever design - the parts slide gather and lock into place without using any screws or nails. It is not water tight, so don't use it where you can't accept some drips, or put a liner inside it.

Awesome planter easy to assemble

Once the weather permits, we are super excited to get to plant in our new raised planter. Let me tell you how easy it was to assemble this planter, so easy my 6 year old did it. Yes, i swear, my 6 year old assembled this raised planter! His dad was there for support but Bobby basically assembled this all on his own. All the pieces lined up and fot together perfectly.

Really pleased

This is a great cedar planter. Comes with the boards all prepared in a box, and I put it together in under five minutes. Assembly was akin to lincoln logs, just slide the boards in the appropriate channel and you're done. The boards went in easily, but still stay in well; I have a compost bin in a similar style, and this is much better done. All sturdy cedars boards, I didn't come across any rough spots either. Looks really nice as well. Perfect for my wife's strawberries, or cooking herbs to have near the kitchen.

I found this Greenes Fence 21x11x7 Cedar Wood Planter Box appealing because it requires no hardware and no tools for assembly. I did have some trouble sliding the wood pieces into the slots at first but after a couple of tries and a bit of repositioning I was able to successfully slide them into place. One of the 4 main sides was not routed the same as the other 3 (quality issue) but it doesn't seem to cause a functionality problem. The dovetail edges were rough and not smooth and clean, splinter alert! The wood is thick, North American cedar and made in the USA, a definite plus. Mike McGrath's mini book of Garden Beds & Composting, a lighthearted, informative guide to planting is included. Overall, a sturdy cedar planter box which should last a long time.

I love this planter box!

This planter box is great! It comes disassembled but it only took me around 10 minutes to put it all together. The instructions are super clear and all the pieces are dovetailed and slide together. No tools necessary! I can't wait for the weather to get better so I can put some flowers in this and have some color in my new planter box. The cedar boards are easy to work with and smell great. Because they're cedar, they will resist any rot. The best part is it includes a book about garden beds and composting.

Disappointed

This Greene Fences 21in x 11in x 7in cedar wood planter box is definitely not what I expected. It’s completely a put together - no screws, nails, glue to hold it together. It’s sort of like a wooden puzzle. I worry that picking it up full of soil it may come apart.

Nice wooden planter easy to put together box for flowers!

This nice little Greenes Fence planter wooden box was very easy to put together and will be a nice addition to my front porch. The fact that this box is made of Cedar wood means that it will last a long time even if it gets wet. You can get anywhere from 2-6 plants in it depending on the size of the plants. It came in a timely manner and packaged very well.

Beautiful smooth cedar wooden planter box by Greenes Fences

This is a smoothly crafted cedar wood planter box that measure 21 inches long by 11 inches wide and 7 inches deep by Greenes Fence. This comes to you unassembled but it will only take you about 4 minutes to assemble. I was surprise to find all the pieces accurately cut and fit together so well without having to adjust anything. Each piece fits so well that it made assembling so easy.

Simple assembly with no tools planter

This planter is a nice capable unit which is simple to assemble and quick to finish. The cedar pieces are accurately cut to make it quick to put together and to take apart when not in use. There are absolutely no fasteners, as all pieces are routed to slide together. It took me about 5 minutes to put it together and found it to be nicely strong after final assembly was done. The 4 side pieces are all the same so the ones you use for the top side panels will have a bottom route cut on them. I was slightly disappointed with that as it can distract from the looks. Anyway I do like this unit and I am sure it will last many seasons so I highly recommend this.

ATTRACTIVE; EASY TO ASSEMBLE; INCLUDES MINI BOOK

After opening the Greenes Fence 21 in. x 11 in. x 7 in Cedar Planter Box, we could smell the fragrant aroma of the cedar wood. The planter box was very easy to assemble in only a few minutes. It is attractive and well made. Also included is a book on garden beds and composting. The book is an easy read. Although it is too early for planting in February, we are looking forward to using it in a couple of months. We most likely will place it on our front porch. One advantage of its compact size is that we can easily move it if its plants are attacked by rabbits. Wherever we locate it will not be indirect contact with the ground. Doing so should increase the longevity of the planter box.

Handsome Quality Cedar Planter Box

I was anxiously awaiting my new planter box from Greenes Fence. As we still are in the winter season when no plants are growing, spring is still coming. The thick North American cedar boards are almost an inch thick. They come pre cut to size with routed side boards (4 each) , dovetail bottom boards (8 each) and dovetail top boards (2 each). There are printed instructions with text and pictures and darker font to emphasize which boards to use. It was an easy project to assemble. No tools necessary. Just had a little trouble leaving space between the bottom boards. Won't worry about that until installing it permanently on the railing.

Easy to Assemble Cedar Planter Box

This is one exceptionally well made product. It is made from Cedar, it has dovetail ends so NO SCREWS are needed to assemble it. It comes with a Mini Book of Garden Beds & Composting with plenty of hints and helpful tips for gardening. It’s very easy to put together, all you have to do is follow the instructions and within 5 minutes you’ll have your planter box ready for planting, that is after you get some potting soil in it, just make sure to leave a little space between each board on the bottom for drainage. I’m trying to decide what I should put in my new Cedar Planter Box, maybe this year’s tomatoes.
