Overall happy with this armoire (4 of 5 stars). It's solid, well made but with a few minor flaws.

Beautiful Pieces

This is the second armoire I've purchased from Grain Wood. I initially found them on Wayfair but they are substantially cheaper if you buy direct. The pieces themselves are beautiful, sturdy, and made of real wood - no particle board. Yes, it took a while to assemble because I did it by myself. But it's also a huge piece of furniture, lol. Make sure you have room!

Beautiful

I'm so glad I found this piece! It's absolutely gorgeous and is just the right size for our Master Bathroom. The product is quality built and the instructions were easy and straightforward. We chose the white and it goes so well with the shiplap boards we installed on the wall. Now I have plenty of room for linen storage. I can't say enough good things about the quality of workmanship. It was worth every penny.

Very Antique Looking

It is nice and large. I had 2 helpers putting it together, while I read the instructions. one of the first steps, I didn't look at the shelf very good to see that on the back edge, it was not stained. And the boys were oblivious. so they had installed it with the naked edge facing out. So when the doors are open that white strip is showing. Well it took 2.5 hrs, and I wasn't going to take it back apart. I will get a bit of stain and put on it. There were plenty of hardware pieces. with a few extra, just in case.

A Beautiful Quality Piece of Furniture!

We bought this Armoire in white last year when we moved into a rental house that was super skimpy on closet space. It was PERFECT! It's a good high quality piece of furniture that you can hand down. It's sturdy and elegant. It went with our coastal themed bedroom perfectly! It didn't take long to assemble but the boxes are heavy so if you live upstairs, life with your knees!

Recommended if you're not picky about the finish

I purchased this and an extra shelf in white. It was the perfect armoire for me as far as size and style but when I unboxed it I disliked the cheap distressed finish so much that I sanded it down and repainted it. A bit obsessive I know, but it's in my bedroom and I look at it all the time. I'm totally happy with it now with one exception. The top layer of paint on the interior of both drawers started blistering and coming off in thin flakes off as soon as I got it. I wouldn't care but it's shedding on everything in the drawer. I still like it but would have totally loved it if it hadn't been for the finish. Assembly took time but I followed the Grain Wood video instructions on YouTube and it came together without any problems. It's solid and holds a lot. Recommended if you're not picky about the texture of the wood.

The armoire was not really the quality I was hoping for. The narrow staircase in my 19th century home Prevents me from buying a more substantial piece of furniture, so I've been looking for something I can assemble. Based on price and most reviews I was hoping this would be a step above what you would normally get in the "assembly required" category. I guess the step up wasn't a big enough step for me. I will be returning and will keep looking. It def requires two people, but, assembly wasn't too terrible. The back panels are very cheap and insubstantial, but the hardware was fine. Didn't get as far as the drawers b/c we decided to stop and cut our losses. It's Too expensive for what you get.
