Please don’t waste your money

Beautiful kettle but it rusted inside within two months of purchasing it. Now i own a piece of expensive trash.

Waited patiently for this sucker to go on sale to add to a few pieces I was able to get as seconds. It's Staub, built for generations.

Not worth it

Interior finish chipped after a year. For the price it should last forever

Love this unique teapot by Staub. Wonderful design, striking maroon color. So well made, I am sure this will be the last teapot I ever purchase! Downside, it's a bit heavy and does not whistle .... but, just make a habit of turning on the stove timer when turning on the heat!

Takes forever to heat. Poor design

Wish I had sent it back. If you have all morning to wait for your water to boil then this ones for you! Handles need to be held with pot holders to pour and the drip spout is the worst design ever. I love all my Staub items with the exception of this one.

Staub never disappoints! Beautiful tea kettle & is perfectly sized - a petite kettle, but it is sturdy/heavy due to cast iron material. No whistle which is preferred. Enameled cast iron is excellent quality. Maintains heat well. The grenadine color is beautiful. A great addition to my Staub collection. Highly recommend.

Gefährlicher Wasserkessel

Extrem schwer, wir haben uns schon mehrfach verbrüht, weil der Henkel vom Kessel ins Ungleichgewicht geraten sind und so der gesamte Kessel umgekippt ist. Der Kessel sieht gut aus und das war’s. Super gefährlich in der Verwendung für z.B Teenager oder alte Personen. Auch der Deckelknopf wird kochend heiß.

Missing enamel & rust

Rust on inside cover rim, chips on the rim. Not worth it.

Meet mr tiny, heavy, sloshy

Bought because it was the ONLY kettle not made in China or with toxic things that would lech into my tea. Thought it looked kind of cute. Design is horribly flawed. Very small, spout will spill out water, handles get hot, & it is very heavy. I could try to live with it if it just didn't spill out water as easily?. I'm 35 & studied dance all my life, pretty graceful & still slosh water out of this thing.

Great work horse (3-4 x daily)

I use this tea kettle 3-4 times daily. The kettle heats up very quickly (especially on induction ranges) easily supporting 2 tall tea cups of 12 oz (350 ml) each. This tea kettle is very distinctive and charming, but its VERY functional. To properly use the Tea Kettle, boil the water until a steady stream of steam vents from the spout. Fill your tea cups (1 or 2 ). Immediately after pouring the water, remove the top lid and place it on a Trivet or counter (its still cool enough to grab lid with hand). Then pour any surplus water into sink (with lid off). The cast iron kettle is still very hot ... any remaining water drops will evaporate from the heat.
