These embers are MUCH MORE glowy than traditional cheap embers. The lines of orangy "heat" are much more pronounced and give a beautiful glow, especially in the evening in our see-through limestone fireplace. I will never buy the cheap, big box embers again. They also arrived faster than the email said they would, 3 days. I am thrilled with these embers and with Fireplacesdirect.com. I always try to do business locally, but honestly FireplacesDirect was much more helpful than my local Main Street fireplace shop.
