Self-tapping screws for gutter guards
I was installing gutter guards and needed a self-tapping screw that would go through the aluminum flange on the gutter guard and the top lip of my aluminum gutters. These worked perfectly. They are zinc-plated, so they shouldn't rust in the rainy season, the self drilling tip cut quickly through the flange and gutter. I used an impact driver socket with a magnetic insert which held the screw firmly while I drilled downward, and the length was perfect. The hex head drives more securely than a Phillips-style head with no slippage, and the washer-style head will not tear through the material. Perfect solution for my situation.
