I'm well satisfied

My Guide Gear 10 x 12 wall tent is exactly as I had imagined it to be. I am well pleased. Anxious to get it out in the woods.

Outstanding Deal Buy this tent

I always wonder how people would rate their purchases once they have used them. So here goes, bought this in 2018...We use it for deer camp in West Michigan, bought the tent, frame and floor. We use it in the fall and late season hunt. Have a Big Buddy propane heater and it works great even in the single digits we have never turned it past medium (too hot). A few hints, the waterproofing wears out so you will need to reapply or just add a rainfly (tarp over the top w bungy cords-works great- buy a little long and it creates an overhang for your gear). Throw the stakes that it comes w in the garbage, go buy long(12" or more) steel spikes at miltiary surplus store. It's great w two hunters and cold weather gear, tight w three but doable. It has held up very well a great price for a wall tent. Also make sure to dry thoroughly especially after rain or if in the deep snow. (I hang it in the garage for a while) I like actual facts on reviews to help me make my decision, 3 years in and this was a great purchase!!!

Right size, Right price

The first time I set it up by myself in about an hour and a half, keeping in mind I am partially disabled in one arm. The second time with the help of my daughter and son we did it in 45 minutes. After staying in it once in the fall and once during winter I am convinced I made the right decision buying this tent. Best thing about it is affordability. If I have to replace it in 3 yrs it wont break the bank.

Quality Product

Quality construction with attention to detail. Not just sewn tie downs, but with metal D-Rings, extra long side walls with bury flap at bottom. 10oz fabric is a little lighter than some HD 13oz wall tents, but plenty adequate.

Roomy tent

Tent is roomy and does look durable but unfortunately this NOT for warm weather use as there is no netting to keep the bugs out. If there are mosquitoes you will be miserable. Not bug proof at all. On a buggy but comfortable night I ended up sleeping in the car. Excellent tent for bug free place.

BUY IT!!!

Just got done camping in this tent and love it. I bought the frame and floor. First time set up was less than an hour. Next time I'd guess 30min. Only complaint was 2 of the plastic end caps are broke and fall out of the frame. Nothing a little electrical tape wont fix. I was supprised by the fact the floor is attached to the inside of the tent with D-rings and velcro. I wasn't expecting that. No rust issues with the D-rings that others have talked about. Waiting on my wood stove, So heated with a kerosene heater worked great for 37 deg. weather in Oregon.

Great tent

Used it this weekend for the first time. Enough room for 2 guys, maybe 3. I made a "rain fly & entrance way" from painters canvas tarps. It added an extra level of insulation and helped protect the tent from dirt and leaves. put some cheap moving blankets on the floor to keep the heat in, and the floor comfortable. I purchased a stove from SG and it was too hot. Highly recommend. Cant wait to try it in cooler temps.

Good price

The stake rings were rusted and stained the canvas. there isn't enough stakes to secure the tent. If this was a used tent I wouldn't have any complaints but being new I expected a little better.

Very comfortable

I have hunted out of an old WWII canvas tent over 45 years (still have it still love it) but our group has out grown it and needed a separate sleeping tent. This tent fit our needs. I highly recommend also buying a tarp to use as a fly when it is raining or you will get wet. The negative to this tent is the metal "D" rings and clasps they used. They showed up rusty and after a week in the elements are now very rusty. I would have gladly paid another $50 for quality metal parts. Fix that and I would give this a 5 star rating.

Leaks like a sieve / Rusted

Got it all set up to find short on stakes, rusted rings, rust stains from the rust. we set it up watered it down let it dry and went on a trip lasting 8 days. we got soaked the first rain. like being in a shower. puddles on the floor. it dried again over the next day or so. then rain again same thing, felt like you were in a shower. stove jack closed leaked and filled up the dog kennel pan. love the frame and floor and the tent is nice if it did not leak...may have not got treated, did not smell like it.

Price beats all!

I set this up in the backyard at the first opportunity by myself. Setup was easy and I liked the way everything went together. I bought the entire package with tent, frame, and floor. I had shopped for a few weeks and thought that I would have to spend over $2,000.00 to get what I wanted, but this package was well under a thousand!

Very pleased

At first I was a little disappointed as the tent didn't seem to fit on the frame. The walls were about 5 inches from the ground. We staked it out and then doused it with the water hose, tightening the ropes as we went. The canvas stretched out beautifully and not a drop of water inside. Tighten the ropes again and drive the wall stakes in (we used our own). At this point the walls were touching the ground and the mudlaps laid perfectly. Once it's all stretched out just let it dry in the sun. The only bad thing of the whole set up are the stakes - they're worthless, throw them out. Even though I'm a prima donna about stakes, these are more landscaping stakes than tent stakes. Having tented in some serious storms, we prefer 12 inch stakes for any tent up to a 12 foot footprint. Overall, this was a good purchase at a great price. My only regret is, three days after purchasing they had their double you club discount. Oh well, that's life. More importantly; the wife likes really this tent,,,,,,,,,,, cause we all know; if the wife don't like it, eventually you won't like it. She actually said; "I really like this tent".

Good value for the money.

Easy to set up with 2 people. Holds up very well in windy conditions. Only thing missing in my opinion is a bug screen in the doorway.

Seems to be the real deal

I also purchased the aluminum frame; issue w one pole, SG quickly shipped out a replacement, looks to fix that problem. So far only set up in the backyard. Great size and I am getting used to the height overall and the side wall height (have older 36" & 48" wall height tents) wondering if the canvas is a double fill duck as it has an odd feel to it. Nice features and finish for the price. And the frame sealed the deal for me, had been struggling with my old wall tent w homemade wood and aluminum frame. One tip - make a cheapo clear plastic rear window, you'll be amazed at how much light it brings in on a cold clear day.
