Easy One-Day Install

The flooring is very sturdy - and shiny! I read some reviews where people had trouble separating the tiles as they ship in 2x2 squares. I had zero issues - they unsnap easily if you hold the outside edges and fold in quickly, with the middle edge coming into your chest. I would suggest starting with the ramps into your garage so you can cut to fit on the farthest away wall with no implications. I used a T-Square and a hand jigsaw to cut. The right blade goes through like butter. I purchased and used the 2mm rubber underlayment and double sided tape. Tools needed were a box knife for cutting the rubber, rubber mallet for light taps to lock in place and jigsaw. That's it! I did a 400 sq ft square garage in 7 hours that included 43 cuts as I had steps and some wonky wall things to deal with. If I was putting down a perfect square, I would have been done in 3-4 hours. Pro Tip: I wrapped a small towel around my mallet and secured it with a rubber band as to not mark the floor while tapping. A super minor complaint would be that some of the tiles and many of the edge pieces already had markings on them out of the box. I realize these are going in my heavily used garage and will mix in with my own soon to come marks, but I would expect them to be pristine upon opening. That's it. Everything else was perfect. Highly recommended from a tough to please customer.

My husband and I installed it togethers in less than two days. Easy to separate from each other and easy to put together on the floor, like a puzzle, not to mention easy to cut for those uneven and difficult corners of the garage floor.

My garage looks great

I've used the nitro tiles in my garage and it looks great. It is a cheaper solution than an expensive painting, and you can do it by yourself with the correct tools mainly fir cutting the tiles. I used an Orbital Jig Saw with a blade to cut plastic and a portable work bench. I bought both at Harbor Freight. I put a good and thick underlayment from Amazon. I think it is necessary. As many reviews say, the solid tiles bend if they get direct sun. I used a row of "vented" tiles at the beginning of the garage that don't bend, but I should have used more.

Nice and Sturdy Tiles

I was pleased that this site had the floor designer option. This allowed me to visually see what my garage floor would look like prior to purchasing the tile and also was able to accurately give the correct number of tiles per my measurements. The order did not take long to arrive which was one week altogether. When the product arrived I had some doubts but once I installed the tiles, I was more than pleased as were my family and friends who I happily shared some pictures with. I used a regular handsaw to put the finishing touches near the backwall for a perfect fit. The tiles are very sturdy. I chose the diamond over the vented tiles because I didn't want to get dirt stuck in the crevices. Once again I am very please. The letters USN for the USNavy are shown on my tiles and they can be flipped and still show USN. This is something I have been wanting to do to my garage for a few years and now have had the opportunity. It is a fully functioning garage and if needed I can park both my vehicles in it the way it is shown.

Looks Fantastic!

Install was super easy. recommend you start with one 12x12 on the first corner for the boarder along the wall, then build out using the 24x24 pattern. So far, holding up great! No hot tire pickup, at least not yet. (fingers crossed) and waiting to see how it holds up during the first winter when we have below zero temps. Scratches are tough to buff out after a poker event with tables and chairs.

Amazing Product

First off from ordering samples to designing my layout to placing the order was an absolute breeze. The representative was very courteous and helpful and extended an additional discount for the order. Shipping was fast and I received the tiles in a mere 3 days. Installation of the tile was very easy and took about 6 hours total due to having to cut tiles on 2 of the sides. It did take me some time to prepare the garage and thought it was a perfect time to organize and paint the garage. But when I was done, I was absolutely amazed at how beautiful my garage looked. I sweep it with a fine push broom for smooth floors and it sweeps beautifully. I live in Florida and and many reviewers mentioned that the floor buckles when sun hits it directly, so my solution was to keep the garage door closed when direct sun hits that part of the garage. Prior to finding this product, I had checked into having the epoxy coating done and the price was double what the tiles cost. I'm very happy and recommend the product highly.

Easy compared to Epoxy or commercial flooring!

At $2.15 a square foot this us by far my favorite type of garage flooring so far. I have owen 3 homes and have now done three different types of flooring. First garage did Epoxy, ut definitely has a lot of pros: very durable if done correctly, looks good, floor can be about any shape or grade. Con: Expensive if done correctly, patterns are difficult to create, prep is very intensive. Second garage did commercial vinal tile. Pro: you can make about any pattern you like, looks amazing after being treated. Cons: hard to use a floor Jack, chips easily, maintenance is intensive, semi expensive.

Buckles

I first installed 420 sq ft of coin pattern Nitro tile. While 340 sq ft could go down applying the next row would buckle three inches high. The tiles were of two different shades of Sahara Sand and felt like two different flexibilities. After shuffling these tiles, reassuring 3/4 inch perimeters over and over I called a different RubberFlooring representative, and after installing three rows of vented tiles and still going nowhere, with the help of Chaz and Tonia I received a replacement order of all vented tiles. Not really encouraged with no explanation as to why the coin pattern buckled I took on one more try and installed for a fourth time with a beautiful outcome. The tiles went down easily, cut easier, are much quieter and the appearance is impressive. I would recommend the vented over coin pattern, however, the coin pattern all of the same manufacturer's lot might have worked. I would recommend placing weed webbing material on the concrete under the tiles to quiet the reflected sound of your footsteps. Also, from experience, these tiles are made to be put down and lock together easily. Not so true about pulling them back up. If you have to I recommend you wear gloves and wrist protectors.

Very Happy, Almost

After searching locally and online, I decided to use Garage Flooring, Inc. as the supplier for my new garage floor. I searched their website, found a design that I liked, and placed an order for sample tiles. Happy with the samples, I placed my full order. Their custom designer tool made the order process easy. The Diamond Pattern Nitro Tiles (black, graphite and victory red) arrived quickly enough and all in good shape.
