Composter works great but I'm disappointed!

I'm writing this review in October of 2024 after having received my Revive Electric Kitchen Composter - Visual Version on July 6, 2024. The composter has been used about 2-3 times per week since we don't generate a lot of food waste around here. I noticed late August, first part of September what looked like to be compost buildup along the side wall on the inside of the composter (I have photos). I rinsed it out with water and wiped the interior dry. It was still there expect now I realized it wasn't compost buildup it was the interior finish of the composter itself that was worn off of the side wall - a sizable area. It is for the lack of durability of the interior finish on this kitchen composter that I have to give it a 3 rating. I'm really disappointed that after only three months of use it this is what it looks like. I hope your R&D team puts a bit more effort into the interior bucket finish of this product in the future. The composter itself does an awesome job of reducing the waste to compost and I like being able to view the progress of the composting. I did purchase the more expensive unit, the visual version and as a senior on an allotted income my money and how I spend it matters. I would like to be able to recommend this product but because of the defective finish I cannot. Perhaps if I could return the composting bucket for an interior finish refresh I might change my mind on that.

This machine makes a difference

We’ve run at least half a dozen loads through the Revive composter since it arrived and I continue to be amazed. We tried composting in rolling bins without success. Now I finally feel like I’m contributing to eliminating at least a bit of the food waste sent to the dump. Our bin load of trash has decreased by a little less than half and I’m amazed at the amount of food waste only two people can generate. Easily managed with this wonderful machine and I know our planting beds will appreciate the help as I dump the canister contents after each grind.

works well but the smell from composting cat food is not pleasant

easy to use with the one button. i have a lot of left over wet cat food that I use in it. the vent on the side blows the warm air out but the smell, even after it goes through the filter is pretty strong. I wish there was a better filter.

Revive Composter

We have had the composter for less than a week. We are very pleased with the results. The sound is low and the entire process is fast enough to compost twice in a day. Revive is proving to be a great composter for us.

My composter

I love it! I processed about 7 cycles to catch up on the stuff I had set aside. Processing a batch now. Gave some to my good friend who supplied me with some veg matter. I only wish it could handle larger loads, but this is great for every/ every other day processing so… no smell!

Small but handy

It's going to take a lot longer to process for what I intended. I bought it thinking to handle the peels and scraps from my canning, but that would be impractical once summer gets in full swing. I like that it's so quiet, so I can run it any time. It should handle table scraps so the garbage can won't stink.

Kitchen composter

Had trouble with the first one but i email the co and they sent me a new one right a way. I have use it every day for my scrap foods instead of my garbage disposal. Everything go's into the composter instead of down the drain. Had i had this unit maybe the call to the plumber to open up my kitchen drain could have been avoidable. I love it .

Warranty for what?

Had less than 6 months and product gums up despite use being in perfect alignment with user manual specifications.

Happy For Now

I've just received the item and used it on a days worth of garbage, and I was delighted that it was decreased in volume and dried out (not completely but almost). I had it on my kitchen counter which is just near my TV room and you can barely hear but a faint hum going. At this moment, I would definitely recommend the item to be used by a single person or a couple. I would imagine just by the amount of composting I have that a family of more would need a bigger machine.

Great Addition to our Kitchen!

We love this composter! It is so easy to use (no assembly needed, just plug in and it's ready to go). We have run a few loads of compost already and the end result is gorgeous. Our family is concerned about our environmental impact and this item is a game changer - also very low noise (less than our dishwasher) when it is running. Definitely recommend! :)

This was given to me as a gift, and I was skeptical since I hadn't even thought of buying any compost unit, and didn't think I'd use it.

Great Product! Bad Bin Design

We use our composting everyday and it makes amazing compost! Simple to use and great design. AirTheReal makes great products. The bin is lacking as this is our second bin we've received as the non scratch clearly is cheap. Customer service did as amazing job getting me a replacement! Unfortunately, only a month into the new bin it is already starting to scratch again. Only approved items are placed in the composter so a new bin design is much needed for this product to get 5 stars.

Airthereal Electric Kitchen Composter

I couldn't wait to receive this product that arrived on Monday. It is so easy to use and my kitchen garbage can is practically empty today, on Friday, because I have been able to reduce the food refuse to concentrated food for my flower garden. I love that I am recycling the nutrients that would otherwise be wasted.

Awesome

This is got to be one of the favorite things that I have ever ordered off of Amazon. And I have ordered a lot of things. I’d say that I uses every other day. I’ve noticed a few things about it that I think I should share. When it is through composting, do not immediately touch the inner container. It is still very hot. It does a marvelous job of drying out the products, grinding them up and preparing them for my large compost pile. I do wish that I could order a second container that way I always have one clean ready to go.

After opening the box and and pulling out this appliance, I was happy with the build quality. This composter is very good for a small volume application. You do not want to leave the bowl unprocessed for very long, it is compost after all. The finished product is however completely dry and odorless for short storage anywhere.

I am in love!

I started composting kitchen scraps last fall by the simple method of putting them in a big bowl next to the sink then burying them in a pile of grass clippings and leaves that we started outdoors last spring. The pile was steaming all winter but the kitchen scraps weren't changing much. So I went to Amazon to see if I could find something to chop them up that would be better than a blender. I found this along with a whole bunch of others. This one looked about the same but was $100 less so I thought I would try it first. Edit: (Just noticed that it went up $80 since last week. Still in love.)

This is a very good product that seems to be made extremely well and should last a very long time.If you are a gardener then this is a quality product that you will enjoy with many benefits. Number 1 is a good way to put your table scraps to a wonderful use to make compost, number2 your plants will thrive with this compost that you helped make with your table scraps, and number 3 there is a long list of what you can put in it including dead house plants, egg shells, dairy products including yougurt and cheese. This product is also easy to clean, the exterior wipe down with a damp dish cloth and the interior bucket comes out for dish washer or wash by hand. I am sure people will start asking how your plants do so well.
