Second homeland dehumidifier
I had to replace my previous homelab dehumidifier unit which had worked incredibly well until it stopped working. I could not get the Frigidaire unit I wanted to replace it with locally and I was worried that your customer service line no longer worked ( even an email to home labs did not work) but I desperately needed to get a dehumidifier working in my basement so I ordered another homelab dehumidifier. Like its predecessor, it works incredibly well now but I know it has a short lifespan.
Works better than I expected.
This device is excellent! I didn't intend to us it first in my house but I have dried out a bathroom for a few days that smelled a bit odd. I'm amazed how much water it collects but then I am in the Pacific Northwest. I have also used the filter to help clear the air of the fresh paint smell. It has a few buttons I have not used yet and I have not yet used the hose, but I will soon. I got the first purchaser discount in email before I committed my cart.
So far, so good!
Just installed and loving it so far. This unit with the pump, by far, pulls more water out than any other dehumidifier I have owned. Love the wi fi feature as I am away alot. Only concern I have is the pump only turns on when bucket is full. It then pumps until the bucket float indicates the bucket is no longer full, yet, there is still alot of water in the bucket that is just sitting there. Wished the unit bypassed the bucket right to the pump out, or, at least, pumped the bucket dry. Standing water is just adding humidity back to the area and possibly mold issues. Am I doing something wrong? Would have given 5 stars if this issue can be fixed.
So far. So (very) good
I’ve had the unit in place for just over a month and so far it has performed perfectly. The pump feature works really well and has reliably maintained humidity level as set. The Wi-Fi features are nice to have as well. The test will be its durability and reliability. I’ve had many dehumidifiers that have conked out after a year or so. Hopeful that the hOmeLabs unit performs better than most.
Great
It works great. All the positive reviews are accurate.
Excellent customer support on an
Excellent customer support on an exchange. Homelabs sent me out a new unit to replace the one that didn't hose drain. Everything covered under warranty. 52 pint dehumidifier Unit collects 2 + large buckets of water daily compared to another brand 52 pint dehumidifier that I recently had to return to Amazon for poor
Excellent Dehumidifier
Excellent Dehumidifier. In service two weeks for 2400 SF full foundation (i.e. walk in). Thirsty, quiet and pumps well. I like. Minus one star for poor wireless feature. Wireless adds $100 to price. Only downloadable to phone, nothing else, not compat. with PC or on streaming devices (I use weather apps, etc. on smart TV. Like to control things from office laptop). App is very simple but getting it to work on my phone was not. Should be PC capable. When I do this over I will buy the 4500 SF with pump but without WiFi. Without WiFi this one would be FIVE STAR.
Using in a garage
We have a lake home on the MN/Canada border that we frequent about once a month. I have an unattached garage that we built 4 years ago. It is tight and well insulated. I have noticed some mold growing on the walls and on cloth materials in that garage since the humidity builds up while we are gone. I decided to purchase this unit for 2 reasons. First, the fact that it has WIFI capability lets me control it from my phone. There are often sporadic power outages which caused my old dehumidifier to shut off and not always turn back on when the power was restored. This device continually runs and I have had no issues with the power outages. I can monitor the device while I'm away from my phone. The WIFI feature is very handy for me in this situation. Second, the reservoir pump works great for the disposal of the water. I have the small line running to a sink in my garage. Not having to worry about the line sticking out under the garage door to drain is helpful. It will also keep critters out of the garage. Overall I have only had the unit for a short time, but it seems to be working great and I am please.
Excellent dehumidifier!
In July 2022 I purchased from homeLabs a similar model dehumidifier. It performed beyond my expectations for two summers (2022 and 2023). In the spring of 2024 I got that dehumidifier ready to do the job again this summer. Although the electronics worked and the fan ran, the unit would not remove the humidity in the air - no water was ever collected. I contacted homeLabs and they suggested several steps I could take to troubleshoot this problem. Nothing I tried resolved the problem. Since the unit was still under warranty, homeLabs refunded my money. In June 2024 I purchased the current version of that same model I had. It was delivered quickly and since I plugged it in, it has been performing excellently. I hope this new unit continues to do the job for more than just two summers. Time will tell. So, in summary, I highly praise and give five stars to every aspect of the homeLabs dehumidifier - design, controls, dehumidifying capability, appearance, etc. Several summers from now I'll know whether the unit's durability and reliability are also five star.

For the Basement
A lttle pricey but the system works very well. It was very easy to set up, and I really like the Wi/App. I have the pump set up, therfeor I never have to empty a bucket.
