Careless wiring from factory

I am adept at installing basic light fixtures. However, there is a small compartment in this fixture where the wires are supposed to come out far enough to enable the connection with the wires coming from the wall. All of them had push-in connectors. I was able to get two of them out of the tiny compartment, but the third one had a wire wrapped around it like an umbilical cord around a baby's neck and there was no slack on the wire to maneuver it out. It's going back to Lowes which is disappointing because I really need this fixture to replace the one that is there.

Fan of Cooper but they dropped the ball

Im a residential electrician and have used Halo/Cooper products for years. I have installed thousands of their products in customers homes as well as my own. Naturally, when choosing under cabinet lighting for my own house, I wanted to try these out. My entire home recessed lighting, both 4" and 6" recessed wafer cans are Halo set to 3000k.

I really like the depth of these lights. Some under cabinet lights are bulky and stick out below the bottom of the cabinet. These are sleek. Super easy to install compared to other brands that I have installed in the past.

The model number listed is HU10, but the product is really HU11. it is a nice product. Maybe a little too much plastic

Difficult to install.

This works OK... Installation was not easy. With a little effort, the designers of this product could have made this impossible to install. In my case, I was installing this under a counter and replacing a set of 3 small incandescent lights. The electric wires were already there so all I had to do was to remove the old lights, screw this one under the cabnet, and connect the wires. There is almost no room in the fixture to place the wires. Additionally, included is a clamp connector that is to be used to hold the wires coming from the wall. If you install the connectors with the screw heads pointing up, you cannot get to them to tighten them, If you install them in the opposite direction, the screws cannot be tightened enough to hold the wires. Either way, the connector may be visible.

Simply a great undercounter light!

This is a very well-built light fixture 24” long x 3.25” deep x 1” high and looks great. You can set the color temperature to one of 3 settings (2700K, 3000K or 4000K) via a switch on the underside, or use a fixed setting, covering the switch hole with a supplied rubber plug. Color temperature is a matter of preference – for us the middle setting looked best. The instructions (which are very good) mention that the light is dimmable, with “compatible 120V phase-control dimmers” and refer you to the manufacturer’s website for details. We didn’t try dimming as the light was a good brightness for our use over our laundry room counter.

Versatile and easy to install

The Halo undercabinet light is lightweight and has a very slim profile. A couple of wood screws are included so you can easily mount it underneath wood cabinets. Also included is a connector so the lights can be “daisy chained” – several of them can be powered from a single outlet. The 24” Halo was a perfect fit for my workbench, and I used double sided sticky tape to hold it up under the metal shelf. I also used a smart plug so when I walk into the garage I can say "hey google, turn on the Halo".
