The clips to hold the light in place didn’t hold very well.

The worse Home Depot online purchase ever! 1st unit- the box and light housing were crushed as someone stomped on the box! Returned to local store immediately. 2nd unit- shipped to store. The sales rep opened the box and discovered a badly dented light housing! 3nd unit- shipped to store again. The light housing electrical box was missing the cover plate! Took almost 2 months and 4 trips to local store to finally get an undamaged unit, but only to find out the 4 holding clips are badly designed and will not secure the light housing on the ceiling panel.

This 5in LED remodel works perfect in my bathroom. I remodeled my bathroom it was easy to install. It has an airtight housing for use with Halo RL56 and RL7 LED retrofit remodels, and ML56 LED downlight system of LED light model and LED trims. The LED connection is non-screw base.

Recently I had the opportunity to try the Halo~ 5 inch LED remodel air tight housing for LED fixture. My husband wanted it for a LED Fixture he had previously bought. This housing was perfect. The lightweight construction of this housing made it easy to hold while installing. The installation instructions were very easy to follow as well.

love them, easy and simple to install. A cutout of the canister would make cutting the ceiling easier. Also, the sliding tracks can be sticky, but easy to bend by hand.

my go to remodel can

On a recent remodel, I installed about 25 of Halo's 5" led remodel cans. Once you plan their location to avoid your ceiling joists, they are very easy to install and to make the electrical connections. The led trims are easy to snap in and install as well. I'm very happy with Halo's products and continue to use them.

I had to replace a led light in my ceiling and bought a Halo LED Remodel Air Tight Housing to use. This is easy to use and keeps air out . Excellent hardware to use in any ceiling with lights.

Easy retrofit can light

I have used these Halo retrofit can lights multiple times. They are a little difficult to get "strapped in" correctly but there are videos online to help you out. I tend to use these with Halo LED covers that are water proof in showers, etc. Remodeling a bathroom and adding a light is so simple with these.

The title says 6 inch recessed light housing. It is 5 inch (and the box it comes in says 5 inch all over it).

The build quality of each of the housing cans is sturdy, and plugs were easy to use. Negatives include the very rigid clips which make it very difficult to press in and lock. I highly recommend before installing to pull and stretch out each of the 4 clips so it makes it easier to lock in. When inserting the electrical wires into the junction box make sure to add plugs which will prevent the wires from fraying against the edges of the junction box over time.
