led light out of 7 purchased 1 burned out today

I installed seven of these lights 5 in my kitchen and two in the hallway. today December 18th 2021 the first one burned out . I installed these about 13 months ago and they don't seem to be lasting 5 years like the box says. I see some reviews have the same problem.

Three replaced out of five.

Purchased five of these about two years ago. Three have died. Replacement under warranty was easy with receipt although I don't think I want to keep replacing them even though it is easy to do. I started keeping the dead ones in case they question why three have died. I used the proper dimmer which is required, so I don't know if they had a bad batch or not.

These are some of the easiest lights I have ever installed. I took down two hanging lights, removed existing boxes, cut hole to a 6 inch diameter, hook up existing wires and push new LED can lights into place.

STAY AWAY!

I installed 6 of these less than a year ago and already have replaced 2... and a third just went out today. The box says they last 25 years and have a 5 year ltd warranty. I am ripping them all out... they are aweful. Looks great for a few months and then either buzzes horribly or eventually blows like half of mine have now.

clips do not support

The clips on this fixture are weak and do not support the weight of it allowing improper seal betweent fixture and ceiling.

Only lasted a year and burned out. Also discovered there isn’t any bulb to replace. Now I have to replace the whole unit

Bought nine of these last March 2019. Say's lasts up to 22 years with 5 year limited warranty. Eight to install in new kitchen and a spare. Yesterday, April 13th, 2020 , one has failed. Put spare in its place. Says on retail box, go to www.eaton.com/lightinginfo for warranty info. "Website not found". Nothing on Eaton website for residential warranties. Having no luck with Home Depot. Called them, explained. They gave me website www.halolighting.com for info. Entered that website and it took me to Cooper Lighting website. Then submitted info on that page for them to contact me. Then received an email from EATON????!!!! Warranty process appears to be smoke and mirrors.....also product is MADE IN CHINA.....would not recommend.

Nice light but unreliable

We purchased these lights and installed them throughout the house a year ago. Of the 20+ we have purchased, we have had to replace 6 of them - which requires an electrician.

Awesome lights

These are perfect and work very well with dimmers perfect brightness not too soft or bright they are wonderful. Very easy to install love them a lot

LED recessed light

Excellent remodel fixture, easy to install, customer loved them and the dimmer switch that operates them !

Low Clearance Light

Worked perfect for my closet application. Light brightness and color is perfect for small closets. May have difficulty keeping light centered since the mounting hole diameter is almost as large as the light. May have stud interference.
