Had a black one just like it for 20 years. Not a heavy duty mixer but aok for my needs Sad when I over loaded it and burned it out. Then I found Hamilton Beech still makes the exact same style. Yeh!!!!so happy to be able to replace it
Cheap - don't waste money
It's so cheap. It just spins and doesn't even mix well at all. I do as a human. It just made a mess. I tried it like 3 times...
It wasnt what I expected
The description is a little misleading. It shows dough hooks, a whisk, etc but it cant do anything over 2 cups of flour and eventhough there is a lever on the front to move the base to one side or keep it in the middle, it still doesnt really incorporate everything around the bowl. i have to take a rubber spatula and push things up to the mixers to get it to actually blend everything together. One of the great things about getting a stand mixer is not having to stand over it continuously. However, if your looking for something to mix liquids, etc then its absolutely great. The hand mixer part really does work good for that.
I liked that ot was lightweight. I dod not like the fact that the beaters aren't close enough to the bottom of the bowl to mix anything. Im very dissappointed. I had learned to trust Hamilton Beach products ---- But this product os a dud. I am requesting a refund immediately. Thanks!
ITS OKAY..
This a good mixer for occasional baking HOWEVER not for a baker.. I bought this mixer when I started school, I needed something reasonable and quickly. The whisk attachment is WEAK and broke piece by piece when I made meringue. INVEST IN A GOOD MIXER PLZ!
Cheaply made!!!
This mixer is mostly plastic! The only things metal - and note that it is cheap thin metal - are the beaters and the bowl. Had to return it without using, it so that it would be returnable, but I'm quite sure that it could kneed bread, or even mix cookies. I would not recommend this - save your money and buy a kitchen aide - I did.
bought as a gift
bought this as a gift to my son and his beautiful fiancée. they were very happy with it and used it the first day they had it to make cookies. they were overjoyed with the product. i was sad i had to leave and didnt get to try the cookies as my son is an awesome cook. it made my kids extremely happy and thats really the best review of all.
MEDIOCRE
I did a lot of mixing when I purchased my mixer. It made homemade butter really nice. All was well. It mixes everything nicely...BUT....Make a cheesecake it started smelling hot..I could smell the wiring. I made cakes, butter once similar things but it definitely got hot making a cheese cake. Over all I dont like using it. Its hard to detach from the base. extremely heavy to use without the stand. The base doesnt tuen on its own. I have to turn or spin the bowl manually. Im afraid to mix dough or cheese cake now. I would love to try another one and see if its just this one mixer. i ordered on line and thought I had purchased the warranty and it doesnt reflect this on the reciept. I usually do on everything I can get a warranty on. i dont know what went wrong but i dont have a reciept and definitely need to return it for another 1. I need help with a exchange and havent used it in months until last night. Jolted my memory that this 1 in particular is a defective 1. Help customer service
the BEST mixer ever
It a brand name that I trust, the color is gorgeous and matches my kitchen decor, the price was fantastic, and it's a hand mixer and a stand mixer for the price of just the hand mixer. I really recommend you buying this from walmart.com as soon as possible.
You Get What You Pay For.....
I had high hopes for this but it is very flimsy and the power levels did not live up to expectations, I ended up returning it after using it once. lesson learned, you get what you pay for
You get what you pay for.
I mean I paid $40 for this mixer. It’s a glorified hand mixer. It does not get the sides of the bowl. But you have to mess with it to get it to mix the whole bowl. You get what you pay for.
Not happy
I love the color and style but when I used it , very disappointed. Does not completely mix ingredients while on the stand. Waste of money to me.
Cheap
Like a mixer for a four year old. Not worth it. The dough hook is a joke! Save your money and invest in a better machine.
Still going strong
I like the price and am pleased with the performance overall. I’ve used it for several years now and it’s still going strong. I do have to spin it occasionally at first. I’m ok with that. I wish the bowl had some kind of narrow handle because I can barely hold it while pouring into cake pan.
Junk, Doesn't work.
The beaters would not lock in and kept falling out. The body is plastic. Instructions are not in English, so you have to guess out to manipulate it to get itto work.
Nice
It’s a bit cumbersome. I LIKE that I can detach the blender part… but when you’re doing more than one thing in a row.. moving the mixers up%26 down is annoying with the button. the mixer unattaches too easily when you DON’T want it to, but difficult when you DO want it to.
Not the mixer for me.
I have been using Hamilton Beach products for decades and have always been happy with them. That said, this mixer is going to be returned. When initially putting it together, I noticed it has thin plastic tabs to hold the mixer to the stand. It felt cheaply made. Then, when I went to use it, I noticed that the beaters are about 2 inches above the eggs I had in the bowl. I tried to adjust the level, but it didn't adjust. I had to take the mixer off the stand to whip the eggs before adding more ingredients. Also, until you get the bowl about a third full, it doesn't turn by itself. So with these things and afraid the tabs would break because they are such thin plastic, I will be returning this mixer to go in search of another mixer. Too bad, I've missed all the sales now.
Hamilton Beach Stand Mixer
I wouldn’t particularly purchase this again because of the button to move the bowl for even mixing. It doesn’t reach to sides of the bowl but the mixer when off the stand is a very good mixer.
not what I expected
It's really disappointed and the overall mixer the hand mixer was awesome. It had a lot of power to it, but using it as a stand mixer was a big disappointment.. You had to turn the bowl and the beaters did not reach all the way down to the bottom of the mixing bowl so consequently you had to mix it by hand anyway. Keeping the hand mixer and the stainless steel bowl, but throwing in the bottom part away
Item defective will not operate.
Utensil defective. One of the beaters will not attach to the mixer. It is missing a piece on it.
