[Rewarded Review] Disappointed

Originally, noticed by the reasonable price. Was shipped is retail packaging with stickers all over it. Not red like the photo. More like an ugly washed out pink color. Although it appears to look like the original product from years ago, it is not at all the quality or heavyweight. Chromed parts are no longer made of metal. It is now light-weight, flimsy, chromed plastic. Overall disappointing. It was back in the box ready to return within 5 minutes of opening.

Walmart NEVER delivered

I cannot review the product because Walmart NEVER delivered. Got an email telling me that my can opener had been delivered a around 2 pm. Waited 2 days, still no delivery. Then i got an email saying there had been a price change and I was to receive a 32 cent refund. Later I received another email saying I was receiving a second refund of $17.xx . I called customer service (ha ha) and the guy in India did not know what was going on either.

I really like the look of this can opener it’s very fancy looking and absolutely matches my kitchen appliances.. It is easily operated and leaves a smooth edge on the side of the can not on the top like most can openers do.. You definitely don’t have to worry about any metal being in your food.. It also holds your can without falling just very easy operating little can opener . I definitely recommend this can opener worth every penny..

High quality can opener , very durable , have owned several small appliances from Hamilton beach, and all their products seem to work great. efficient , priced affordably , works great , easy to use safely and is versatile for all size cans.

Right product, right color, delivered on time!

Hamilton Beach is the electric can opener brand I ordered to replace one that I've for more years than I can recall. Finally it opened its last can. Ordered from Walmart because I had a birthday gift card and it cut the price in half. Hamilton Beach products cost more, but it's worth it.

I am thoroughly enjoying using this can opener. I had been using a very good electric can opener that we had received for our wedding. The appliance lasted in good stead for 49 years! After it finally stopped working, more than 8 months ago, we relied on manual opener. My husband and I at last said we'd had enough of the manual one. More than once I ended up cutting my fingers with it. I looked for a very long time for a replacement for the electric one, I had just about given up my search when a truly helpful young woman at the Colerain Ave., Cincinnati, store told me she could order one through Best Buy for me. (Of course, I paid for the appliance! ) The opener arrived at our home a few days later. What a pleasure it now is to once again have a working electric can opener. Not only does it work, but it works excellently. Thank you, Best Buy!

Extra-Tall Electric Can Opener by Hamilton Beach

Love it! Out of the box I was concerned for ease of use, but it is SO easy! It knows what to do and does it perfectly and quietly. It has a slightly larger footprint than my former unit, which often tipped forward during use and spilled liquids from the can, but this guy is solid and reliable! I highly recommend!

Awesome electric can opener

I have only owned one electric can opener in my life and that is because the first one I’ve ever had was not masterly; therefore, always owning manual can opener’s. Arthritis has come in to play with me not being able to use the manual ones any further. I was very skeptical but to my surprise, this little thing has been so awesome. It is very fast and does perform way better than I expected it would! To top it off, the lid magnet really does work! Happy with my purchase.

This Hamilton Beach can opener replaced a manual, hand-held can opener that had become extremely difficult to use - ouch.

Tried and true workhorse

This is the second one I've gotten. The first one's magnet broke off to no fault of its own (husband). It lasted 10 years. The cord tucks in nice and neat. The top comes off easily enough to be washed regularly and goes back on with the same amount of sturdiness. I haven't found one thing to complain about.

[Rewarded Review] A magnificent magnetic electric can opener.

This can opener is just what I needed. It is large, but light weight, it can handle different size cans and even can open obstinate, dented cans. It has a marvelous magnet that holds onto the top in a terrific grip. You do have to be careful of the sharp edges of the opened can, but it is an electric can opener and you don't have to worry about batteries! I am very pleased with it.

I can't find the exact Hamilton Beach Can Opener I currently own, but I definitely wanted to review it. The can opener we have has been going strong for ar least 10 years. It's hard to find appliances that will last that long anymore, so I'm very impressed. Actually, most Hamilton Beach small appliances I have bought seem to last forever. Definitely recommend any Hamilton Beach product. And when you look at the picture of my can opener, please remember, it's at least 10 years old or older lol

Cheap plastic parts don’t last

We had what seemed to be this same model for about 10 years, but replaced it because it had gotten grungy, and the magnetic part that catches the lid had broken (but the opener part still worked fine), and we wanted to change from white to red. This can opener is pretty, and the bottom is solid, but the top part that you push down to open cans is made of plastic! We decided to give it a try, even though the old one was metal and we had a feeling this one wouldn’t last. Lo and behold, we were right. Two months of light, careful use and it snapped. And it was never strong enough to open big cans. Makes me sad because it’s so pretty, but returning to Walmart tomorrow.

Yay! I can open cans of food without a fight!

I love it cause it does work. It had obviously been opened before as it came with tape for closure.

Stylish Chrome Cut:)

The Hamilton Beach Classic Chrome Heavyweight Can Opener is great! I love the way it easily opens up any can and the lid is immediately attached to the magnetic holder. The lid does not fall into the can with the food! Also along with the smooth cut, it has a knife sharpener which helps me keep all my knifes sharp! I ordered the black Hamilton Beach Can Opener with the Classic Chrome which makes my can opener look stylish with its' shine!

An awesome device to have in your house that makes opening cans extremely easy. This appliance is very helpful especially for those that may have someone in the household coordination issues or arthritis. My mother, who has mild arthritis, really loves that we've been able to use this appliance for over 2 years now with no problems. It makes opening cans super easy for her and we couldn't be happier with the product.

Lightweight and easy to operate

I purchased this product because I have developed pain and numbness in my hands, and needed something that was easy to operate and lightweight. This can opener is everything It was described as. It is not heavy like my previous opener. It is very easy to attach cans and takes just a light touch to operate. It is a bit taller than most which means I can use it with tall cans and not have to hold can over the counter to accommodate the extra height. It is overall a very nice can opener especially for someone with arthritis or other painful issues in their hands. I would highly recommend it.

Have had time to use this 'bad boy' and I have never been happier with an electric can opener. I was concerned it was going to be OK based on the damaged shipping box, but there was no need to worry. This baby even opens cans that have been damaged without a hint of a stutter. I kept my hand opener for several weeks, just to make sure I had something on hand. No worries, Mate. This lovely hot to trot opener is being used every chance I get. Runs smooth, even on warped cans. Comes apart easily, cleans like a charm. No complaints!! **Highly recommend...
