Desiring 12” wide shelves, these corbels worked great, using 3 on long runs and 2 on short runs. I removed the hidden metal hanging bracket and attached them top Flush to a 1 x 8 from the rear, allowing me to aesthetically space the corbels. I then used 2-3 pairs of longer screws to attach to studs.
