It's not a true taupe. More grey.
We bought the taupe with black rug, in a 9.5 x 13.5 size. We are loving the look of it, but I must warn others.....the base of this rug isn't a true taupe. It's more like a mix of light gray and beige, which I suppose they think transfers into taupe. Just know that before you order it. It's a lovely rug however.

A great find and designer look
This is gray/silver with beige lines. The woolen beige lines definitely shed--but overall a very upscale/designer look. It looks great to bridge both modern and traditional seating in our home. It's softer than I thought and we saved over $*** over a local designer furniture store
