Very pretty but candle holes too small

These numbers are precious but the actual candle hole is too small. I tried the small little birthday candles and even they do not fit. Sadly had to return

Cute but not practical

I purchased this set based on the positive reviews but unfortunately I had a different experience. I tried 3 brands of candles and could not find a perfect match. Two were too loose and had issues with the melting wax falling into the open crevasse. In doing so, I had a difficult time getting the wax out of the hole. Third candle fit snug but after the birthday party when i was cleaning up I could not get the candle out and ended up breaking it. Now one candle is completely unusable and because of the other problem with the smaller candles, I gave up. Too many cute one-time candles out there and found my kids actually were excited to pick out their birthday candles.

I love it. Was concerned regular candles do not fit. Turn out they fit prefect. Can’t wait to use them as family tradition.

Perfect Baby Gift

I purchased this as a baby gift for first time parents, never again will they have to search at the last minute for the numerical candle on their child's birthday cake! It uses a standard cake candle and they will always have their child's age, can also be used for adult birthday, anniversary, etc.

Skip, not worth it

Had high hopes for these but did not work out. Weight caused these not to sit up on cake. Purchased 3 different brands of standard birthday candles, none worked. Ended up stuffing paper in the holes to help keep candles in, not a clean look. Mine also came with several black dots that looked out of place and not sure why they were put on some numbers and not on others. Skip this

The number 2 is damaged

The number 2 is damaged and The Paper Store would not provide my with a prepaid return label. I was told to bring to a store which I’m unable to due to knee surgery. Poor customer service.

Wish the set came with candles

I like the idea of not purchasing numbered candles each year but unfortunately the standard birthday candles would not stand straight up because too thin. We ended up with wax allover the cake.

Elegant and practical

I was so excited when I found these. They are well made and can become a family heirloom. I used to buy # candles. Now not a need. But I did have to two sets. Since mow my boys are two digit numbers.

Not appropriate for gift giving

Ordered this set based on spectacular reviews but unfortunately I'm not having the same experience. Perhaps most were purchased as gifts and reviewer are not experienced with the actual product. First issue, standard birthday candles do not fit. One must either stick clay in hole to help secure small candle or chisel away a larger candle at the base and stuff it in. Either way, not the look I was going for. Second, set has many imperfections. Black dots and ridges all over, not the nice silver set shown. Lastly, after a year or so, my set has turned a strange grayish color. Tried rubbing with cloth but no luck. Usually do not write reviews after a year but wish I was warned and strongly do not recommend purchasing this as a gift due to quality.

I love birthdays and bought this set for a significant celebration for a friend. They can bring some elegance to the party, but are simple enough to be practical. They're a nice size, too. I'll be using them for many parties to come.
