I love this tree spirit. I personally feel like it looks more like a woman vs a man. I think of her as Mother Nature. She is just stunning & such a beautiful addition to a beautiful oak in my backyard.

Nice piece, disappointed 2 leaves broke off during shipping

Very frustrated. Loved this piece in the picture and in person it didn't disappoint. It's quite large and will be visible on any tree it graces. Was hesitant to buy it because so many reviews said leaves had broken off during shipping, but I decided to order it anyway and hoped those instances would not happen with my piece. WRONG. 2 leaves broke off during shipping. I received another green man (different company) the next day, saw their packing and immediately understood why. The Plow & Hearth piece had two long pieces of tissue paper, folded, wrapped from top to bottom and side to side - looks like a cross configuration. The piece itself was visible when it was unwrapped except for those two tissue paper pieces. No other protection except peanuts (or something) to pad the box. Completely unacceptable! Plow & Hearth must be well aware of the breakage problems by now, yet the packing is sadly inadequate to protect a piece with all these metal leaves on slim stems! Further, the two leaves that broke off ruin the symmetry of the piece and I haven't hung it up yet (although initially I was excited to do so). I don't have a soldering iron, nor do I know how to solder anything, so have to either: ship it back or live with a broken piece that I spent a considerable amount of money on. Neither option makes me happy AT ALL. Why hasn't Plow & Hearth paid attention to the reviews and improved the packing? The other piece that came the next day is CEMENT, and cement chips easily. The folks at the other company completely wrapped the piece in bubble wrap, and put cardboard reinforcements with bubble wrap inside at top and bottom, and both sides of the piece (where it was most vulnerable to breakage because that was the contact point with the box), and in the BOX there were similar reinforcements/protection in each corner of the box. The piece was carefully wrapped and there was zero damage. Less interesting piece and smaller, but far more professionally packed.

When I saw this in the catalog and just had to have it for a tree in my back yard. A number of the reviews said the leaves were bent. But the one I got had a crack across the eye lid and then a crack was on the other side of the nose. Would have been perfect but it's on it's way back.

My green man wall art is just beautiful. The picture of it in the catalog and online doesn't do it justice. I'm very pleased with the workmanship. But --- I'm not pleased at all with how it was packaged. A few of the leaves were bent due to not being secured well in the shipping box. You need to fix that. My green man is going out on the patio where I will see it frequently daily
