Pieces apart, poor construction

I was excited at first because it is a beautiful rug! I loved the different textures and the pattern was just what I wanted. It sheds so much that all my kids clothes are covered in it as well as socks and blankets. I was willing to deal with it and just vacuum more frequently to keep it under control. BUT, then I noticed that anywhere the rug experienced any amount of friction (even just watching my kids go from kneeling to standing) would loosen PILES of fibers and it doesn’t stop. It will eventually completely piece apart. What a waste of money.

Just ok

I purchased the 12 foot runner 3x5 2x3 rugs. This rug has a raised trellis design very uncomfortable under foot. Light grey with blueish color not a true gray. It is pin point needle work hard not smooth wool rug. I used the runner in front of kitchen sink and front door shows every stain mark Pain to vacuum because of the raised design. Needless to say after 2 months of use I got rid of them 125.00 in the trash glad I purchased on a good sale I would not recommend this rug.

Poor quality and will not hold up over time

I am so disappointed in this rug and am surprised by all of the positive reviews. I've ordered several rugs from RugsUSA that I have been happy with but this one is definitely a dud. I ordered the light grey and although the color is accurate, the quality of the rug is just poor. It looks cheaply made and the portion of the rug that is grey is not soft at all (although the off-white patterned portion is). As others have mentioned, the patterned portion is raised and they were certainly right! I thought maybe it would be subtle, but it is definitely not and you even notice it wearing shoes. The rug is already starting to get pulls in it and I've only had it a week. If you have dogs or cats, this is probably a terrible choice for you as their nails will probably exacerbate the pulls.

Great if you don’t have cats

I do really like this carpet, but there are some things buyers should know: the ivory part is noticeably taller than the color part, which makes vacuuming a total pain because of the many, many ridges. I’d not have bought it if I’d realized the ivory part is so much higher. This also makes it feel funny under foot. And finally, the ridges created by the different heights are way too hard for my kitties (two 2-yr-olds) to resist; they dig and pull and bite; so it was basically ruined within days. And it’s wool, so yes, it sheds some, but as a pet owner, I’m ok with that because I don’t have to worry if the fur babies eat it.

Looks Good

The rug is beautiful. The reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because I've found a few places where upon closer inspection you can see imperfections in the rug. The colored part of the rug is more coarse sort of like a Berber texture. The white/creme raised portion is a softer texture similar to your standard carpet. The rug itself is pretty thick and is rather comfortable especially with the thick felt pad we found on Amazon for it. We've had it unrolled for about two weeks and the side the was in the middle when it was rolled up is still not quite flatten. We've had some shedding, but not anything too severe. Do a search for care of wool rugs online. You'll find that you're not supposed to use a beater bar (the spinning bristles) on a wool rug or you WILL damage it and it will shed.

I Love It

This is the third time I've ordered this rug. The first one I purchased was yellow and cream and so beautiful! However with two dogs, overtime it looked bad. So I bought the blue/slate/gray one (the exact color escapes me) and I loved it! I loved it and so did my puppy which ended up eating all four corners : ) So when I felt the time was right to purchase another rug, I didn't go anywhere else but here to buy the exact same rug. WHY I LOVE IT? It is thick, it looks expensive and not like I walked into a Walmart and bought a rug. Yes, it sheds as all rugs do. Over time it goes away. It doesn't bother me as I already vacuum every day anyways, so vacuuming up rug flyaways is no biggie. It looks plush, but isn't. Do I want to nap on it, no. But if I have people over and need floor space, this is comfy enough. In the end, the rug always looks nice in my space, holds up to normal wear and tear, and when time again, I'll buy it for a fourth time. I don't think you'll be disappointed. THANKS!

This rug is BEAUTIFUL and VERY well made! For all the comments regarding the shedding, its a WOOL rug. I did lots of research before purchasing a wool rug and unfortunately, shedding is something you get with almost any wool rug. You need to vacuum this rug with ONLY the suction rather than the brush as the brush actually will make it shed more. The color is pretty true to the photo, a little darker but it looks fantastic! EXACTLY what i was looking for and i couldn't be happier! I purchased two Large ones and a runner. All i can say to people looking at this rug, do you research on wool rugs before purchasing one and you wont be disappointed.

Huge disappointment

My husband and I are so disappointed with our purchase of this rug. We loved the rug the first couple days, but we realized it sheds terribly. We thought it might shed a bit at first, but not as badly as it does. We also thought it may stop after a week or two. We have had this rug for about a month and it is terrible! I spend a lot of time on this rug playing with my one year old. We are constantly covered in fuzzies from the

Order this rug, BEST PRICE and QUALITY on the internet!

I ordered the navy color. I researched rugs online for at least a month before pulling the trigger and buying this rug. I had looked at several rug companies. They were having a Labor Day sale, so I said what the heck, give it try...

Gorgeous Rug but sheds A LOT!

I was so in love with this rug when I saw it online and was even more impressed after I had it setup underneath my white tufted Chesterfield couch from Horchow. Everything just seemed perfect visually until we decided to rip out all our carpets and opt in for dark hardwood floors we've always been dreaming of. Then the disappointment came after I noticed that there were plenty of fuzz all of the house even if I just vacuumed the same day. I have had this rug for 4 years and had been vacuuming it for at least once a week but the shedding has not gotten better. I was very sad when I realized that I need to let my beautiful rug go but I found the same design and color but it is not made with wool. Hopefully my new replacement can be just as beautiful as this one. Please note that we had gray carpet the whole time and we did not notice the shedding at all since they were pretty close in color. So if you do have a light colored carpet that you need to cover up with this, then you will be good.

Definitely could be khaki or a shade of grey

I bought this carpet to match a specialty retailer's "Addison Flocked" curtains and it is a PERFECT combination. The curtains supposedly had grey flocking on them, but it was really a brown/dirty grey. This rug is the same. In a white room, the rug is definitely khaki, however in a light grey room (which is what our nursery is), the rug appears greyer. It is NOT a true grey though. Also, in terms of shedding, I don't see piles of wool around the room, however when my daughter (who is 12 mos) rolls around the room, her clothes pick up little strands of wool. Also, if I am wearing black and sit or kneel down, I will wind up standing up with strands of wool on me too. It's not horrible, but it's slightly more annoying than other wool rugs I've ever dealt with. Not a deal breaker though.

Decent Product

Overall, I am happy with the purchase of this area rug. The positives are that the Bali Blue was pretty true to the color that I was looking for and the size was perfect for the space I was looking for. It arrived within the same week that I ordered it (I think it was a turn around of about 3 days or so) so I was really happy with the speedy delivery. I honestly didn't look too much into the fact that it was made out of wool (and wish I had) because it does shed a lot. I don't find it all over the place but when I vacuum, it does suck up a considerable amount and I often have to empty the chamber of the vacuum because of how much comes up. A few reviews that I had read said they found a lot of pulls but I don't find that to be the case (I do not have any pets). It is not in a high traffic area so I think that helps. I do find little fibers of wool on my hard wood floors but it's really not a lot so it doesn't bother me too much. Also, the white area where the design is does stick up higher than the rest of the carpet so it is a bit more challenging to vacuum it and furniture does need to be strategically placed. If you are interested in this carpet, I would definitely avoid putting it in a high traffic area, or if you have pets but otherwise it's a nice carpet. I thought the price was a bit high for the quality but it is a thick carpet.

Sheds A Ton, Wish I Hadn't Purchased It

I bought this rug in the navy color about 6 months ago for my son's nursery. It matched perfectly with the nautical/whale theme. At the time, he had not been born and the room wasn't used often, and I was really pleased with how it looked. Now that he is two months old and we are using his room more frequently for diaper changes and such, I have grown to hate this rug - and to be honest, I really spend way too much time thinking about how much I hate it! It sheds more than any other rug I have ever owned. I find balls of fuzz from it on my son's clothes (despite the fact that he isn't even mobile yet), throughout his room, and somehow throughout the rest of the upstairs of my house. I vacuum it at least once a week in an attempt to keep it under control, but within hours, it always looks like a mess again. To make matters worse, the vacuuming appears to be making the rug threadbare in certain spots. This rug seemed like a good buy when I bought it, but still wasn't exactly cheap. I'm not too eager to spend even more money on a rug for a nursery at this point, so for now I'm going to suck it up and keep in in there - but once he starts crawling, I don't see how I could keep this in his room. I'm really surprised that there are so many good reviews for this product. If you have a room that has any sort of foot traffic - even minimal - I would strongly advise you not to buy this rug.
