Not What is Pictured!

I've been shopping for a cow hide rug for a few months now, and had a few options selected from this site. I decided to pull the trigger and purchase the brindle option when it went on sale. To my dismay, the rug is NOT and no where near a brindle color!! It is the exact rug that is listed as brown and white. I don't know how the manufacturers are confused about their color option. I am on the fence about returning it, because I don't want the hassle. This is exactly the reason, if I shop on line, I stick with companies (like Joss and Main) that I know will provide the product as advertised.

Exactly the quality you'd look for in store

This product was well-tanned, what it advertised to be, and of great quality. It was a lighter box than I thought it would be, but the fur was very well cared for and it's a perfect throw-rug.

Buyer beware

Sorry to rate one star because though beautiful, the rug I received is not what is advertised/pictured. The rug I received is solid black with some bright white edges. There is not even a hint of brown color in it.

Exactly what I was looking for

I purchased two of these rugs for my living room. They are indeed dark and do not show a lot of the brindle pattern, but they are nice quality and look really great. For what I paid, I think these were a good value.

not as described

great size, great quality but not a brindle color as described, more black and white solid coloring. Had to be sent back

NOT Brindle

The quality was great as is typical with a Brazilian hide, BUT the color was black and white NOT brindle. Very disappointed so only 2 stars.

I love it...but...

It came folded in a box and I have no freaking idea how to get the fold lines out so it will lay flat (currently have stacks of books piled all over it, but it is not helping at all; and it kinda has a weird smell that has yet to dissipate. But I love the look . Also, I use mine to actually walk on and the fur makes it extremely slippery.

Beautiful rug but it is NOT the color pictured. The rug I received was black and white. It is still nice though....

Price is pretty good for what you get.. however the hide does seem to have a strong smell from the chemicals they treat it with. Nice hide though.

Brindle?

Don't get me wrong, it's a nice product, but we ordered brindle and received black and white standard. It takes awhile to get it too. Good thing my husband likes it even though it wasn't exactly what we ordered.

So soft and pretty

I've ordered several cowhides but this one is the best. Wasn't sure of color so was surprised when it came all black except for some brown around edges. Has been tanned perfectly, soft and pliable. So nice that my son talked me out of it! Oh well, now I have a Christmas present bought!!

Great rug, picture is deceiving though

So I do love this rug, before I get into the negatives. It's soft and feels nice on your feet, but you should probably buy something underneath to keep it from moving. I bought the rug thinking I would get the brown and cream color, like the picture. It came white and black spotted, like you would think a cow looks. I called up customer service and they were very pleasant, so I suggested that they provide alternate photos on the possible rugs people may receive, since I was keeping the rug anyway. It worked out, and I love it, but beware that you might not get the one in the picture!
