Two things I wish I had known before I bought this: 1: It's pre-assembled and very hard, if not impossible to disassemble with out damaging it, and 2: this thing is heavy. I thought I could bring it up the stairs by myself, but there was no way that was happening, and it comes pre-assembled with no way to disassemble it, so I couldn't move it in parts either. I managed to get someone to help me, but I had wanted to avoid that! The color of the piece I received looks a bit lighter and more yellowish-brown than the reddish/pinkish color that it looks like on my screen. It uses a wooden slider system with pegs inside the back of the drawers that keep them from falling out. Because of this, it's a little tough to see things in the back of the drawers. It came with a lot of fine sawdust on it, but a quick wipe down with a damp rag took care of it. It didn't have strong "new furniture" chemical smells. The interiors of the drawers are a little smaller than what one might expect, but this comes with the dresser being on the smaller side and the drawers being made of solid, 5/8 in thick wood. Interior drawer measurements: length just shy of 14 in, width 26.5 in, height just under 5 in (which is a little shallower than what I'm used to, but I can make it work.) One issue I had with the specific item I got was that one of the drawer sliders was screwed in too tightly, causing the wood to bow outwards between the two screws and cause the drawer to stick shut. Because the drawers are not removable, I had to turn it on its side, pull the drawers outward and awkwardly contort myself to access the the rail where it was sticking. But I did manage to sand it down enough for the drawer to work okay. (Inconvenient, but still less of a hassle than trying to return it.) Here's hoping they're not all like that! Overall, it's a sturdy, good-looking and understated piece made of real wood that could go with several types of décor, and doesn't seem like it's going to fall apart any time soon. It's also a versatile size with a smaller footprint that could be used as a small dresser, a table for a hall or entry way, or even a small media. And that was exactly what I was looking for. I'm willing to overlook the issues I had with it since it's such a solid piece that's going to last me a long time, but if I didn't have someone to help get it up the stairs, or sandpaper to fix the rail, I would probably be posting a very different (much angrier) review.
