So disappointed in this rug. I usually really like wool, but this one is still shedding after two and half months. The loops also are coming out and the corners turning up. For the price I had higher expectations. If I could still return it I would, but I wanted to give it a fair try. Would not recommend.

The rug apparently has a deep, almost purplish, red in its center medallion rather than the orange-rust that is depicted in all the photographs. The rug is also seemingly corse in texture, rather than what was expected in a Persian rug (like all our other Persian rugs).

Colors not as shown. Red/pinky color much more rust color. But love the quality and feel of the rug. I can’t use it where I hoped, but will find a place.

I believe that this must be a very inferior wool; it sheds into balls. Perhaps this is because it is new and has been sheared and perhaps it takes a bit of time for the leftover cut bits to come away and only time and wear will tell. Somehow, I doubt it. I was also totally unprepared for how big the knots are. I am trying to look at it like a "hooked rug" because I already have quite old oriental rugs and this is NOTHING like those. I do hope these knots are tied properly. I did not expect a truly fine oriental rug, but I expected more from a $1000 rug.

I just love this rug. It’s well made. The colors are beautiful. I just wish it had a bigger fringe or not one at all.

It’s damaged

This is a beautiful rug with vibrant colors that brighten up a room. It feels great underfoot! As others have remarked, there are fewer knots per inch than expected, but we are happy with it and hope it wears well.
