Beautiful but sheds terribly

Very nice rug, looks great butt sheds terribly. I would give it 5 starts if it didn't shed months after the purchase. Doesn't matter how much you vacuum, still sheds. I actually threw it away after 8 months of dealing with it. Too much of a mess.

It was absolutely beautiful, but I returned it because it was too large for my space. I have purchased other Safavieh Wool Rugs and the quality is exceptional. I would definitely recommend purchasing. I purchased a large square of this pattern. Kept it.

I am sure it's going to be beautiful, but who is the yahoo who folded the rug this way. I might not be able to get the creasing out of it. I will let you know if I can't. Rugs are suppose to be ROLLED. It also has a grease stain on it as you can see, because of the shipment. We were able to lay the rug with minimal creasing, I think it is beautiful!! I do suggest all rugs be rolled and shipped. There is a crease in middle I think will work itself out.

This rug is much darker than the web page photos showed, and it is quite thick (1/2 inch plus). I'm using it for an entry way rug, and the door barely clears the rug when opened. The colors shown on the website are correct, but the background is very dark, almost navy blue. It is also shedding A LOT!

First of all the shipping was super fast..3 days! The pattern is larger and bolder than I thought it be but it is still a great design. The pile is plush and soft under foot. The colors in the actual rug and the rug on the website don't match up. I was expecting a lighter olive with more gold tones but the colors are much richer and deeper. The round is exactly 3' 6" x 3' 6". There is some shedding which is to be expected with a wool rug but I sweep my rugs so that may help. All in all I am very pleased with this rug!

Nice floor rug for price point. Natural wool quality makes easy cleanup due to its inherent character. Nice muted vintage colors goes well with wood and tile floors. Vacuuming required every other week as the rug will shed some of the wool but easily vacuums up. Thick and comfortable on the feet and soft. These are overall very nice rugs.

Gorgeous, high quality rug! I absolutely love it! Other reviews are correct that it is absolutely not charcoal but instead a beautiful deep gray-green. As long as you are cool with that, I can't imagine anyone not loving it. It feels thick & luxurious. Not too much shedding. I just can't say enough about the perfection of this rug! I am so thankful that I trusted reviews (I did not want charcoal) & that there were enough reviews saying the same thing so that I believed them!

Definitely nice and thick

Has a good depth to it. Feels better on the feet and knees than those other cheaply made rugs and fibers. Nice dark teal with golden highlights. Cons: had an odd warehouse smell that takes weeks to clear up. The wool sheds A LOT. After many many vacuums it still sucks up a ton of wool

Excellent quality

I ordered this rug last month. It arrived quickly and I was so pleased with the quality of this rug. For the price, it was far better than higher priced rugs that I had seen. It was made wel and had beautiful colors.. The problem was it was the wrong color. The description said red red. However, it was a rusty red that did not match my room. So, with much regret, I sent it back. I would not hesitate to buy another Safavieh area rug.

Runner did not exist.

The runner that was pictured did not exist. After they sent the first two, and I reordered the next two, it was discovered that the name and stock number belong to a new design of that rug which was predominantly navy blue and and was totally different. I returned all four rugs to UPS store. As recompense, I was offered a coupon worth two percent more than the coupon that was currently being offered. I did not use that coupon and purchased rugs elsewhere.

Attractive rug, releases lots of "fuzz" at first

Thanks to the other reviewers, I knew that this rug was more rust than true red in color, and I definitely wanted something more toward the rust side of the spectrum. In natural light it looks more rust and in artificial light it looks more tomato red. The pattern is gorgeous and the rug is very soft underfoot, especially since I am using a Mohawk felt pad underneath it (also bought from Overstock). I vacuumed it many times, very thoroughly, when first received and found it produced an astonishing amount of "fuzz" -- filled up about three-fourths of a vacuum bag. But the fuzz released since then has been minimal, so I guess I took the right approach by doing so much initial vacuuming.

High quality

I do a lot of ordering online, but there are a few items I'm leery of ordering and one of them are rugs. Even with detailed descriptions of the product, I worry about texture and quality. Worried I'm going to end up with something akin to Kmart--which is fine, if you're looking for something of that nature. This rug is absolutely perfect. Nice thick pile, excellent quality, and beautiful colors. This went into a hallway directly off my foyer. Blends well with just about any décor and wouldn't hesitate to order again. Nice rugs, shed alot

I ordered two of these runners for my kitchen. They really warmed up the area since the tile floors are cream and they have a nice, thick pile. The color is, as other reviewers have mentioned, a maroon rather than the vibrant reds and golds that my monitor shows. Based on the photo, I would have expected a rug with some sheen to it, but knowing that it is wool, I knew it wouldn't. The only problem that I have had (but it was mentioned in plenty of other reviews, so it was no surprise to me) is that they shed A LOT. I vaccuum them daily, if not, then every other day. Hopefully, once the "newness" dies down, the shedding will decrease. Overall, I am very happy with the product.

Beautiful rug

I love this rug. It came well wrapped and folded so that there were no rolled up ends to deal with. The folds relaxed almost immediately. The quality was even better than I expected for this price. The colors are beautiful and understated, a soft olive, ivory, an orangy rust with small bits of dark green running through and outlining part of the design. I purchased it for my diningroom and am so sorry that part of it is covered by the table because I want everyone to be able to appreciate this rug. Great quality and beauty for a wonderful price.
