Simple but sturdy

These chairs were exactly what I needed to round out my dining room set. I searched high and low for chairs that would complement my existing set and yet didn’t break the bank. These chairs were it! Great price and quality. One piece arrived blemished and the company sent out a replacement quickly and without hassle. I had no trouble with assembly, though I did use an electric screwdriver which sped things up a bit.

Oak chair

chair arrived in pieces and bits and required professional skill to assemble into the chair that had been pictured. Fortunately my professional friend came by and needed two hours to put one chair together. He took the other chair home and in his workshop only needed one hour for assembly. Do not order this chair! Buy it at the store and pay the extra for assembly. It’s a good chair, for which I have ordered two teal chair-seat tie-on cover-paddings.

missing screws and washers, drilled wrong. 3.2/10

would be a great chair If the parts were all there, the holes were drilled right, the parts all fit. I just made it work and the effect is a bit trashy if you close. would have been a beautiful long lasting chair

dining room chairs

these chairs are very easy to put together & all pcs. fit together nicely. When assembled they are very solid ,sturdy wood is used . There was a couple spots on the chair backs that should have been sanded a little more before the finish has applied, a little rough to the touch. Could possibly snag clothing.

Nice set; needs more quality control

Pros: These chairs look really nice. They matched the table exactly, and they're sturdy and fit the table well. Do yourself a favor and get a cordless/electric screwdriver for assembly. All the hardware was present and the instructions were OK.

Free Fast shipping but product poo fit and finish

The Purchase is easy with free and fast shipping, but the product fit and finish is not good. The assembly seems pretty simple at first but I am struggling and unable to put crossbars into legs, either the slot is too small or the crossbars on one side is too big. I was able to put one end of the crossbar into either side of legs but unable for the other end, and if I force it in then I think it will break... and it still ain't going in all the way. It must be the crossbars fit and finish problems, and the slot should make slightly bigger than the crossbars because you have 2 crossbars to put in on one side and it has crews to hold on it, why make it extremely tight? And the product itself is very flimsy.

Junk!

I must have received the quality control escapee, what a piece of junk. Nothing fit straight, so some screws came thru the outside of the chair edge. If I had kept the box Id be returning it pronto!

Excellent quality

My chairs arrived on Thursday, earlier than suggested. The first chair was a bit of a challenge for me (not the handiest person), but the second chair was no problem, now that I know what I'm doing. I have a simple farm-style table for four people, so I will be ordering two more chairs. Excellent value.

Winsome Wood Side Chairs

We purchased 6 for our dining room table. They came unassembled, which I knew they would. They relatively easy to put together. They are made well and are of good quality. They came with extra screws, bolts and washers so I was not short anything to assemble them with. They even had an allen wrench for each set.

Decent set of chairs for the money

I needed a couple of extra chairs to go with my oak table but didn't want to spend a lot of money. These were perfect! I had a little trouble getting them put together (by myself) so that the legs were all the same length and the chair didn't rock. After putting the first chair together I had to take it apart and redo it but it all worked out in the end.

Just What I Was Looking For.......

I have been looking for this type of chair and color for quite a while. I ordered a total of 8 chairs. The quality of the wood and style is very nice. As one review shared, it' s easier to use an electric screwdriver as it's easier on the wrist. Easy to follow directions and quick assembly.

Fantastic deal

These chairs went on half price at my local store. I ordered four right away and got them delivered quickly. Hubby put them together with no problems and he was impressed with the construction compared to our old set. The colour was almost a perfect match for the side buffets and the simple design of these chairs are exactly what I wanted. Very happy!

I plan to buy some more

I just put these chairs together today. They were easy. I'm 69 and I put them together with my daughter. It took us about 45 minutes for the 2. I like the size and color and design, Of course I don't yet know how well they will stand up and how durable they are. They are a smaller chair which is just what I needed for my small dining area.

Nice Sturdy Chairs

I was a bit nervous buying assembly required kitchen chairs from a department store instead of something crafted at a furniture store but I didn't need to be. These chairs are nice and sturdy, have a bit of weight to them, and appear to be solid wood not oak veneer glued over a lesser quality wood. Assembly was easy. I did it with the "help" of my 5yr old. A few chairs seemed wobbly at first but we could fix it by loosing a few bolts, pushing on the seat until the wobble disappeared, then re-tightening the bolts. I didn't give these 5 stars because there were a few legs where the nail that holds the glide onto the bottom of the leg was sticking out a bit and before I noticed this, one of them scratched my wood floor. However, this was also an easy fix with a few hits with a hammer. I would recommend these for anyone looking for affordable chairs.

Winsome Dining Chairs

I knew when I ordered this item that it was going to require some assembly. The item is of excellent quality and very sturdy. I had been looking for this exact chair for about a year at an affordable price. I was impressed that all of the hardware was included and the design of the chair insured that the chairs would be sturdy when assembled. I am very happy with my purchase!

Love the chairs but not the service after delivery.

Absolutely love the chairs. They are beautiful and sturdy. Very easy purchase with a very nice and helpful lady. My only complaint is that one of the four chairs was missing 2 of the upper cross bars and 3 of the lower cross bars. Now I must deal with the manufacturer Winsome out of Woodinville, WA by filling out a missing parts form and provide proof of purchase. No telephone number is listed so I mailed everything to them priority mail so that I would have a record of my letter. I feel that Hayneedle sold this to me so they should fix this problem rather than me the customer.

These are MARVELOUS chairs. They are SOLID--I cannot believe how solid they are. My husband put them together and did not have any problems at all. They are very comfortable for being wooden too. I cannot imagine that these will break and fall apart as my other chairs did. I do not know how many times my husband had to repair the other's! Love love!! The finish is nice too--satiny! Also they have small plastic things on the bottom of the legs to avoid scratching your floor and they do not at all effect the stability of the chairs. LOVE !!!!

Nice Chairs

I ordered two sets of these chairs to match my oak dinning table. The shipping was handled very well with excellent packing, and they were delivered five days sooner than I expected.

Very Good Buy

I was very pleased with this purchase of chairs. First, two chairs come in a pack which is not completely obvious. So it's a great value. Second, they were very easy to assemble, even for me. If you have an electric screwdriver with a hex bit, it's a complete breeze. I did it with the little hex wrench they gave you and even then it was easy. Third, these chairs are very sturdy and have a nice glossy polish that looks great. I only gave one star off of quality because one chair has a huge dark knot on the chair seat. My boyfriend says it looks natural so it doesn't bother everyone. It matches my light ironwood table, and has a honey oak hue.

Decent construction, darker color

These chairs are a very good value for the price, but they are darker in color than a typical "antique walnut." I'd say they are more of an espresso. Also, be careful when tightening the screws for the dowels that connect the legs. If you don't center the dowels between the legs and tighten carefully to keep them even then the chair will wobble. Overall I think they add a nice look to my table.
