Super easy to install. 3 people (2 to hold it and one in the attic. Gorgeous product. No dents on arrival. Was sceptical about not touching and feeling something before I bought it and not a hi viz name brand but I saved hundreds over an in showroom product like Broan

Soo noisy, wish didn’t get it. By the time you realize it’s too noisy it’s too late , already assembled

Order the highest CFM you can get, you'll need it.

I ordered, and had professionally installed, this 600 CFM exhaust hood for my island stove. The first iteration was ductless. Do Not Go Ductless! It's pathetic at best! Filters are $$$. First time using ductless, 2 smoke alarms rang out quickly, while cooking a steak in a cast iron pan. I had them back to run an outside duct. A bit better but still didn't draw all the smoke up, even with filters removed. There needs to be a better way to direct smoke up the pipe. No decent pull, even at 600CFM.

Beautiful but noisy

I did much research and chose this unit because of higher cfm than most and that a comment from the manufacturer stated his was quiet. I installed it and it was NOT quiet. Low speed 60db, medium 63db and high 66db. These levels are far too loud for my wife and me and most people and not what the manufacturer stated. I must say probably average for most units from research. I returned the unit and purchased a different brand that is supposed to be in the 43-50db range which is significantly quieter. What a pain. Fingers crossed.

Love it!

We love our hood! It is sleek and beautiful and works wonderfully! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking!

Buttons are painted on and smear!!!

The control buttons are painted on with water-soluble paint. The steam and oil on fingers causes the paint to smear when touched. Hauslane is well aware of this issue and continues to sell the product. They said “stickers are in production”. I don’t know when I’ll get them and I don’t want stickers on my new hood…

Bad Specs and Worse Instructions

Specs on Lowes website say mounting from ceiling to top of vent hood glass is from 23 1/2" to 46". There is no way, following the installation instructions to install this hood in under 33". The instructions are almost useless. With a lot of effort I got it to go in at about 25" down from the ceiling.

Love the simple but elegant lines of this island range hood. The controls on both sides are a convenient feature. The lowest speed is very effective and not too noisy. The lights illuminate both the cooktop and bar eating area. Very happy with my purchase and the contractor who installed it was impressed with it too.

So far we have not installed the range hood, but on unpacking the product we were saddened to find that one of the chimney sections has a badly damaged corner. It looks like this section of the product was dropped on its corner, prior to being packed at the factory as there is no matching damage to the exterior box to suggest that it happened in transit. I have taken the issue up with Hauslane and hope to hear back from them soon.

Showed up damaged, terrible instructions for installation. Has to be installed a minimum of 38" below the ceilings. stainless was scratched along the bottom inch of duct. Fan is way louder then described.

Great addition

When we replaced our old downdraft slide-in range, I soon realized that there simply weren't any good choices on the market for replacing it with a new downdraft. This created a need to install some kind of vent system over the peninsula location of our new slide-in range. I finally settled on Hauslane and have been pleased so far. The fan is not too loud (on the lower setting), it looks great, and it does a good job of getting steam, smoke, and cooking odors out of the house. I elected to vent out through the roof rather than recirculate through a filter. This added to the expense, but I believe it is the best choice.

Very good service

Since our house is still in the construction phase I can't say how the range hood works but I can say that the service was great. The steel shroud had some damage and I contacted Hauslane and after they saw the pictures they immediately sent the replacements. The packaging was so good that you could have sent your best crystal without any worries.

Superb in all aspects!

Absolutely superb product in function, design, and craftsmanship. Additionally, Hauslane's customer service is fantastic. That is, on the shipping trip from San Fran to Philadelphia, the box was impaled and the upper chimney was damaged. A call to Hauslane and a new upper chimney was sent, saving me from having to repackage the entire unit. Thanks to Stanley and Kevin for terrific support! My only note is, if you purchase from Lowe's, it is stated that it comes with charcoal filters, which it does not. I concurrently ordered the filters from Hauslane since their site distinctly stated that the charcoal recirculating filters are sold separately as an option. Small price to pay since if you had to return this, just bring it to any Lowe's without question. After cooking a few heavy meals, I can honestly say the stainless grease filters are commercial quality, easy to remove and put in the dishwasher weekly. Plus the charcoal filters are top quality if you wish to opt for the recirculating function.

Nice upgrade

Needed a hood that was ventless so we did A LOT of research and decided on this hood based on the cfms and reviews. GREAT CHOICE.... Very easy to install, looks great and exceeded our expectations. We had a little issue so we contacted customer service and they where First Class and was quick to handle the issue.

The range hood was received and installed today. It looks so good and price is very affordable. the sound is relatively small! Smoking effect is also very good, last customer service is very good!

Very Modern looking in my new kitchen renovation!

I just got new appliances stainless steel everything so have a full stainless steel hood matched my Samsung fridge and GE cook top. Everything works great! Will update if I run into any issues!

Great Vent Hood

Packaged well with no dents or dings when it arrived. This vent hood looks great and works great. Simple installation and it gives my renovated kitchen a modern look. Installed over my island with an induction stove and it has good ventilation while cooking.

Beautiful and Affordable

This one was caught my eye when I open the box. It's more beautiful than displayed images on the website. The price is affordable, and I would recommend my friends to purchase their products for kitchen renovation as well.
